Illumination

Physical illumination refers to lighting and light. Metaphysical illumination refers to the supernal Light, which creates intellectual and spiritual enlightenment.

Illumination is infusion of intellectual light; an enlightening of the understanding by knowledge, or the mind by spiritual light: Inspiration; the special communication of knowledge to the mind by the Supreme Being.Webster’s American Dictionary

“Christ consciousness always guides you as intuition and illumination when you ask for it”.—Edna Lister

Illumination is an absolute and an abstract principle, and a law of being. Illumination is the soul faculty attained when Light penetrates and permeates every cell of the body until you can "see" and "know" truth. Illumination is the faculty most closely aligned with the Wisdom principle.

Edna Lister on Illumination

Humanity may be humanly intelligent, humanly creative, humanly brilliant, but it lacks spiritual illumination. We lack spiritual illumination because for centuries of separation from the spiritual world, we focused our intelligence primarily on material and mental subjects.—Edna Lister, God as Consciousness Appears as Form, 1933.

The first step to great illumination is to give up outer possession of personality—insisting that others do it your way or that they be as you desire them to be. This is the only way to gain command of your own physical heart, your soul’s heart of being, or to command the Power from the heart of God, in whom we live, move and dwell.—Edna Lister, February 1, 1936.

Let nothing of darkness or self hold back your full vision and illumination.—Edna Lister, August 19, 1938.

With the first marriage of the Lamb—the mating of desire and will with wisdom and love—will becomes illumination with its seat in the pineal body, and desire becomes the seat of intuition in the pituitary gland.—Edna Lister, December 9, 1946.

From soul consciousness, you surrender to God’s desire for you, which is love, imagination that builds energy, and His will, which is wisdom. Then the pineal body and pituitary gland open to illumination and intuition.—Edna Lister, November 13, 1947.

Light can lead you to the high place, but you cannot enter therein without opening your intuition and illumination supreme.—Edna Lister, December 13, 1947.

The greater the illumination, the less the nosiness, the slower the finger on the trigger.—Edna Lister, June 5, 1948.

Light flows in as an electrical charge, which agitates lime deposits and discharges toxins. The electronic activity of ascension of consciousness stirs the glands and organs, and they sometimes cast off toxins. The higher the illumination, the greater the disturbance within an individual. Imagine a circle or a sphere of light rotating clockwise over your head. Under the vibration of law, every atom in your whole body rotates clockwise in health.—Edna Lister, The Twelve Tribes, June 22, 1948.

Extreme fear of moving through an illumination and refusal to assume responsibility to become law causes inner blindness.
If the illumination from your Oversoul Star becomes too bright, say, “Here I am, Lord,” instead of “I am unworthy,” or going to bed to escape, or expecting a soft place.—Edna Lister, August 4, 1949.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.—John 1:1 Illumination is a vibration of Light, which is the Word that was with God and was God. Wisdom is more moving than any motion: she passes and goes through all things by reason of her pureness, for she is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the glory of the Almighty: therefore no defiled thing can fall into her. She is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of His goodness. Being but One, she can do all things: and remaining in herself, she makes all things new: and in all ages entering into holy souls, she makes them friends of God, and prophets.—Wisdom of Solomon 7:24-27.

Wisdom is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it.—Wisdom of Solomon 7:29.
