Edna Lister's Sermons and Lectures on Intuition

Intuition is "immediate mental apprehension without the intervention of any reasoning process." This definition is insufficient to explain the degrees of intuition as it operates in man. The root of intuition means to consider or to see. When you hear someone say, "Oh, I see!" they have intuited the answer.

Intuition is an instant apprehension which arrives though the super-conscious mind of the Oversoul. In one blinding flash of Light, the answer is wholly accessible. This describes illumination, which can come only through Oversoul and super-conscious mind. It is absolute "knowing" without suspicion or rationalization.

Intuition is the soul faculty most closely aligned with the protective Love principle; intuition is knowing through love. Intuition is an abstract principle, a law of being, and a mental and spiritual faculty.

Intuition

Edna Lister created this Bible study outline for November 22, 1934. Scripture: Acts 17:22-31.

You must use intuition righteously. Cultivating super-sensitiveness is misuse of this soul faculty. You can contact true intuition only in the silence. A hunch is the subconscious extending mental feelers to read the stock market, pick racehorses, to read minds, and so on.

Paul is describing hunch-consciousness when he said, "They should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being." – Acts 17:27-28. People are always wanting God, and searching for Him.

Each of us is a genius. You are all experts in something, often in your profession or favorite hobby. Some are experts in avoiding work, or experts in finding excuses. Many are specialists in poverty and disease.

If you want to know a person's genius, listen to him talk. Is it conversation or a sales pitch? You may be radiant with genius, yet your use of silence is the turning point, the parting of the way to success or failure.

You cannot be an expert job holder and an expert job hunter at the same time. Let go of the job you do not yet have, and apply yourself in your present place. Let your Light so shine.

You may not take a question into the silence, or you will have no room for the answer. Let go of the questions of why and how. That is Power's business.

Quit chasing shadows. Quit chasing darkness. Quit chasing things. Quit chasing petty and selfish desires.

The Still Waters of Intuition

Edna Lister created this sermon outline for May 24, 1942. Scripture: Psalm 23.

Intuition is more than a hunch, which is the subconscious interpreting for the higher conscious mind. Intuition has three phases or factors – prayer, treatments, and the golden silence.

First is prayer: Look up with your eyes, lift up your voice in praise and rejoice. Always finish with, "Thank You, Father, that You always say yes."

The second step is treatment: Lift everything and everyone you can think of into the House of the Lord, the House of Light and joy.

Third, enter the golden silence. You hear with your ears, but listen with your brain cells. When you listen, you hear the vibration of the Logos, the Word, on your brain cells, and you know. This is intuition.

The soul rides out and up to glory, while life rides down the line of your unselfish giving up. Remain in this high place, waiting upon the Lord, while you are working out your own salvation below.

Now, what do you do during the times when you are not in the silence? You continue to wait in rapturous expectancy, never giving up. It's never too late, just too soon to carry on. Never stop knocking on heaven's door, or allow discouragement to hold you down.

Self interest is always focused inward, and is selfish. Self, selling itself, is always focused outward, and anoints your head with oil.

Living Water: Christ for All People 1

Edna Lister created this sermon outline for January 26, 1947, and also used it April 22, 1956. Scripture: John 4:5-30.

Jesus acknowledged that he was the true Messiah after the Samaritan woman at the well in Sychar called him the Messiah. She had intuitively understood who and what he was. The outstanding idea in this chapter is feminine intuition, which is based in love.

The Samaritans had been slaves in foreign lands, Jews who had returned from worshiping false gods, pagan and heathen. They had to be reintegrated into the twelve tribes, yet no Jew would speak to them, especially to a woman.

Jesus rested by the well and entered the silence to receive the living waters. He spoke to the Samaritan woman and broke her bondage, which started a vibration that we still live on today, a world Messiah and women lifted to God.

Women were still in bondage after all the lesser racial messiahs had completed their missions, for only the first and only Begotten Son of God could open the vibration of their freedom. Jesus spoke six phrases directly connected with women. First, "Give me to drink" illustrates asking love-as-intuition to become one with God.

When the woman questioned from where he would draw the living water, Jesus answered, "Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." – John 4:14.

This exchange illustrates how Wisdom gives the secrets of Power to love-as-intuition. The woman's five so-called husbands represent the soul in bondage to the self's love of physical sensations. The man with whom the woman was currently living, who was not her husband, illustrates her wrong creations in the world.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. – John 4:25.

The woman, who at first represents the creature soul, embodies rational soul in this passage. Jesus symbolizes the Oversoul as "I AM" consciousness, which becomes "I am he" or "I am she" as Oversoul enfolds the embodied soul.

The disciples returned and marveled that Jesus was speaking with her. Yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? – John 4:27. The disciples represent the faculties, which have searched and return with meat. Intuition and illumination have already received that and more.

The woman, as love, consciously goes forth to bring others back to God, which integrates how love stabilizes your body cells into working for you properly and efficiently.

Jesus acknowledged his responsibility for lifting when he said, "I am he." You acknowledge your responsibility with "I am my brother's keeper. I and the Father are one. The Father does the work." The One of you is God, the One.

You need fearlessness in expression. Are you afraid to say, "I AM healed"? God is with you. Whom shall you fear? Your character is Godlike because God as me is the same as God as us.

Godis a Spirit and worksas Spirit with you in your present place of all wisdom and love. He works through you, acting through you as illumination and intuition. Heaven is your place and your state of consciousness.

Have you loaded your ship o' dreams with a cargo of darkness in the past? Cast out the ballast. Are you still waiting to load a new cargo? Load it today with a cargo of power, strength, love, glory and Light.

Declare, "I acknowledge God as all. I express God as my love. I belong to all Power. I am responsible. I am fearless. I am surrendered."

Living Water: Christ for All People 2

Edna Lister created this Bible study outline for April 22, 1947. Scripture: John 4:5-30.

This chapter of the Gospel of John shows Jesus as the true Messiah. Its keynote is the feminine and women, and stresses the acknowledgment of responsibility. He shows fearlessness in speech and actions, and that Godlike character belongs to everyone.

The Samaritans were descendants of Jacob, whose well this was at Sychar. They read and believed in the Old Testament. Yet they worshiped God in the old high places, and some followed strange gods.

No self-respecting Jew would speak to a Samaritan woman. Yet, by doing so, Jesus opened the keynote of feminine emancipation for all women. He, who was the Messiah, spoke to and helped the Samaritan woman.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. – John 4:24. God is a Spirit!

As Jesus did, you must acknowledge God as your Father – He proclaimed,"I am the messiah." He called God "my Father," "Not I but the Father doeth the work," and "I and my Father are one." In all fearlessness, he said, "If God is with me, whom or what shall I fear?" This Messiah-like character belongs to you and all of us.

The story of the woman at the Sychar well illustrates five phases of intuition being exalted as love ascends. First, he said, "Give me to drink" of intuition, then "I will give to you the living waters of love."

Thus, Jesus opened woman's emancipation vibration. The creature soul, lifted and ascended, frees intuition and spiritual illumination.

When she mentioned the Messiah, he told her, "I, who speak to thee, am he." When his disciples heard this, they marveled, which is how intellect usually responds to intuition and illumination.

Finally, love is able to put intuition to work. Illumination brightens the corners of your beliefs, removing doubts. Everything comes into balance and harmony when you worship God as Spirit, in Spirit.

Why are you waiting? You can all load a ship o' dreams with the cargo of your choice, exactly what you want in life. All you need to do is to acknowledge your responsibility and be fearless in your expression. Are you afraid to say, "I am healed"? If so, why?

All that the Father has is yours to use – all Light as Power, Love, strength, might and glory, now. Load that ship o' dreams and it will sail right back to you.

Your Word Is Your Magic Wand

Edna Lister created this sermon outline for February 3, 1953. Scripture: Job 22:28.

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. – Job 22:28.

A decree is "a law, a formal order as to what shall be or not be done." Courts judge by laws written for all alike, which all must obey to protect the helpless.

You are free to make the laws you desire for your inner life, and you make your own laws every day. Today, you may choose to create good and joy, to move up in consciousness to receive more, or choose the negative, the low, the less. You may choose grief, self-pity or just plain indifference, which is the worst curse.

Instinct rules an animal, but reason rules a human. When you see someone operating on instinct, you are really seeing a creature in human form. A Christed creator is ruled by intuition, not subconscious hunches.

Intuition means ruled by tuition within, an inner voice. Tuition means "being taught, also payment for." Intuition is both the thing received and the payment for which you receive. How? Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1.

God has given substance the power to become. Mind, acting, must condition it. With every breath, you release substance and the Holy Breath, and it always becomes something. Substance becomes whatever your Word decrees.

God has given the rational soul the power of conscious direction and control: To condition substance, you must speak the Word as a decree. Substance cannot condition the Word. The Word conditions substance.

The Word is Oversoul's "I AM" consciousness. Every word you speak is like waving your magic wand of Power. Wisdom speaks only what it desires to say. Foolishness blurts out whatever floats atop its consciousness.

To speak properly, powerfully, remain uplifted in consciousness where intuition rules your life. From the heights, you listen to the Word, speak, and send forth a mighty vibration.

Love Wins

Edna Lister created this sermon outline for October 18, 1953, and also used it November 8, 1953. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:17-31.

In preparing this sermon, I sought verses for "love," but no light revealed them. Then I realized that wisdom is a flame and a fire. I saw this. Wisdom, the first Emanation, is the foundation for free will in and as man, like the framework of Creation, or the walls of a mold or container. Love must have something to sustain, to brood over, and to nourish.

Wisdom and Love join to form a cross, with Love as the upright and Wisdom as the crossbar. Wisdom is both illumination and will. When Wisdom is anchored as principle, will is subject to the soul and illumination enables you to see and hear the idea.

Love is both intuition and desire. When Love is ascending, it exalts intuition and lifts desire. Love ascends as desire to meet and mate with will. The perfect result is compassion under mercy. You can be balanced only when you put selfish will on the crossbar so that the flames of desire burn away the dross as love ascends.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 1:18. Why? Nations perish without vision. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. – Proverbs 29:18. When you refuse to sacrifice self-centered will, you lose your vision spiritually, then physically.

What is free will? Inherently, free will is the power of choice. What can you choose really? You can choose between hot or cold, in or out, up or down, light or dark, but nothing else. You cannot truly know free will until you learn what love is.

As you walk the Way of the Christ, you must apply wisdom as free will, righteousness as vision in action, sanctification as your knowledge of love, and redemption, which is transmutation through love.

What is love? Love has a language, is art, and has capacity. The language of love is giving. The art of love is being agreeable and able to bounce back.

Love's capacity, as intuition, is determined by its quality, thin and weak or rich and strong. We refer to love as "mother's milk" and the "milk of human kindness," but milk separates into degrees, skim milk, cream and butter.

Love, though fine as a gossamer web, is the strongest power in the universe. Love has no means of expression except through personality.

You may feel as though you are bursting with love, yet this is not enough unless you direct it in wisdom through your right use of free will. Look up in consciousness, agree with God and adjust to the other person.

You express love by giving, not things but by the self you give up to God. You can always give the world compassion and understanding, knowing when and what to give through your intuition.

Through the art of love you learn how to agree with God and adjust to the other person. You can do this through disciplining the will and by sacrificing self-centered will.

The first step is to lay your will on the altar for purification, to be cleansed of selfishness, domination of others and the use of force, as in forcing your will on another. You express negatively when you say, "I won't," "I will," "I can't," "I'm trying," and "You must."

Once you have laid will on the altar, you must pick it up again. Otherwise, you cannot make your choices known to God. How can the Father know what you want, except as you, through your will to choose, which is your free will.

Plan and put your plan and goal on a cloud of Light, but do not set a time limit. Pray for orders and wait in the golden silence for answers. Execute all orders you receive through prayer, under free will, as to your approach, and what words you must use to be cleansed of self.

On the outer point, you may appear to be cold, yet remain an inner minister of flame and fire. Move up in consciousness until your will is free of self. Continue moving up until you reach soul vision.

The question is not whether you do or do not have free will, but how do you want to use your God-given, untouchable free will? What do you want it to do for you, for others? What do you want to do with the free will that is yours? Your free will cannot be taken from you.

When mated, desire and will become the Holy Ghost as the fully Christed "I AM" consciousness. You cannot know what free will is until you know what love is! To agree with the adversary means to look up in consciousness and agree with God.

Intuition or Hunch

Edna Lister created this Bible study outline for September 18, 1955. Scriptures: James 1:17 and Isaiah 30:21.

Intuition is "a quick perception of truth, without conscious attention or reasoning, truth attained through apprehension, also instinctive knowledge or feeling," which we induct from the five senses. Perception is "the act or power of perceiving intuitively, to become aware through the faculties, or instinctively through the five senses."

The term "hunch" came into expression from the old superstition that good luck attends the touching of the hump of a hunchback. A hunch is "a premonition, meaning to admonish in advance of actual warning, instinctive foreboding or a prediction."

From these definitions, it's easy enough to see where misunderstandings can occur, because the definitions seat intuition and hunches in two different places. Intuition is part of super-conscious "I AM." The "I AM" center in the head, ruled by the Christ mind, holds the centers of intuition and illumination in the pituitary gland and pineal body.

Hunches belong to the subconscious mind. The solar plexus is the seat of the instinctive "brain," ruled by that part of mind called the subconscious. Thus, confusion results.

Apperception is the kind of perception in which the conscious mind is active during the process of perceiving. Apperception includes the addition of recognition and interpretation, all powers of the intellect used in acquisition and elaboration of that which is perceived.

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21. Intuition is the result of desire and will become one as the "I AM" consciousness in the tower room of the higher creative center.

Hunches operate from the solar plexus, which is the seat of all past superstition. Predictions, for instance those based on studying the cycles of astrology, can come true, but prayer, which releases God's Power, moves the white Light of the Christ through those stars and planets to set predictions and hunches aside.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness or shadow of turning. – James 1:17. Intuition is the Voice of God speaking when it comes from above as miracles with no variableness or turning.

You can become a genius or expert through intuition. An expert is a job holder. You cannot be an expert job hunter and job holder at the same time. Let go of the job you do not have, and declare "I am in my right place." Then apply elsewhere until a new position opens.

You cannot be an expert at avoiding work and making excuses for not finding it, and a job receiver. Some people are experts in weakness, disease, pain and lack, but they cannot also be experts in gain, open doors and the strength of shining Light simultaneously.

A man, who was down on his luck, failed to pay his rent. The landlady turned off his heat, and finally threatened to evict him during sub-zero weather. He went into the freezing night hunting for a doorway or corner in which to freeze, while his little self kept whispering, "Death is the only way out for me."

He finally heard the voice of intuition saying, "I AM," and he wonderingly repeated, "I AM. I AM. I AM" until Power surged in him, possessing him with unearthly strength that warmed him.

He returned to his room, which seemed warm enough to him, and slept. The next day he returned to a business where they had refused him the day before, to find that an employee had failed to show up, and they put him to work.

Intuition solved his problem when he became still enough to hear the Voice of God. He nearly died, but the Power did the work when intuition overpowered the "hunch" realm.

Make Desire Your Glory 1

Edna Lister created this sermon outline for June 14, 1959. Scripture: Colossians 1:10-29.

What is desire? It must be something above and beyond "I want." Desire is love, which inverted becomes hatred. Desire is the original creative fire that started a lonely God expressing and creating from His own substance. Desire is the creative impulse in man, God's life as you, used physically in action, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. You cannot kill desire. Repressing desire only atrophies the endocrine glands through which desire functions.

You must open three portals between self and the higher Oversoul. A portal describes an elaborate doorway, and the term implies wealth, a high place, position and power. Hence, choose to use it in regard to the soul, instead of the commoner terms of "gate" or "door."

Desire is the first portal to soul expression. Desire is the key that unlocks your treasure chest of soul glory. Feed your desire with the food of devotion to the thing desired. Your devotion to God fans your desire to a white heat of glory. It also burns out all physical, emotional and mental dross.

The fanning of desire to a burning blaze of joy opens with faith in God. It finishes at the white point of heat with the faith of God. A difficult stretch lies between, which causes constant conflict between the subconscious self and the Oversoul. The rational soul is torn between the two, suffering and being tortured.

Desire, raised, mates with will through the getting of understanding and wisdom. Paul says to "walk worthy." The feet represent understanding, and the arches represent your load-bearing foundation.

To "increase in knowledge" is to gain wisdom to add to your understanding. You are "strengthened with all might" through joyfulness. If you remain "grounded and settled" in truth principles, with your feet on earth, you are "settled up," and open extended vision in heaven. Nothing is more indicative of place or position with God than the individual's degree of intuition or illumination.

You can open the second and third portals only through mating desire with will until they become one. The second portal is intuition, and the third is illumination. Desire and will begin ruling as intuition and wisdom from above. Your use of intuition opens additional brain cells to listen to God's Voice.

Intuition interprets the Logos (the Word) vibration into wise words. You hear with your ears, but listen with your brain cells. Intuition is the interpreter. Oversoul uses intuition, as love, to call you to climb higher.

Hunches and selfish desires arise from the subconscious. Instinctive desire is the interpreter of selfishness. Self "can't stand" any more law, "can't be blamed" any longer, "can't take" any more pressure. Self says, "No one can change my mind or how I feel about it. If this is God, I'm through with it."

Oversoul never stops lifting. If a creature with only a few brain cells awakened can be saved, what can the Oversoul do to lift as the living soul of God as man? Oversoul can lift the little self from its rebellion and willfulness. Soul lifts, but self drags.

Oversoul cannot even see darkness. The "still waters" in Psalm 23 describe the Oversoul's intuition. Oversoul finally opens the third portal into illumination, the "house of the Lord," of Light and joy, which open into the "green pastures" of growth. Oversoul unveils the mystery of all ages: Your soul is the Christ of glory within. You are the Christed one to whom God would make known the riches of the glory of this mystery.

Glory descends three times on the path from desire and will to intuition and illumination. First is the Neophyte's Rebirth into Discipleship. The second descent begins with the Baptism by Water and ends with the Baptism by Fire. The third descent of glory includes the four higher initiations of Transfiguration, Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension.

The first descent finds faith, love and joy, the disciples of the Christ mind, sound asleep. The second descent of glory finds faith napping, love nodding, and joy sound asleep.

However, the third descent is so glorious, that it starts the soul into action. Oversoul keeps touching the "little self," saying, "Watch with me."

The Christed one now finds faith, love and joy wide awake and alert. "I AM," the Christed consciousness, finds desire aflame with the glory and joy of full devotion to God.

Make Desire Your Glory 2

This Edna Lister sermon transcript is dated June 14, 1959. Scribes: Ruth Johnson and Irene White. Scripture: Colossians 1:10-29.

Desire is above and beyond the "little self" wanting, clutching and grabbing. God, in the beginning, was alone, with no one through whom He could express, with no one on whom He could lavish His love. God desired us and we came into being.

When God created the world He never planned the mess we have made of it. He created us as instruments through which to express, and gave us free will to choose good or evil. However, our will is "free" only when we exercise it "by Him and for Him, to express His Wisdom."

God holds absolute control over every life spark of substance, the "firstborn" of every living creature. Your firstborn is your body in which you dwell, your mind with which you draw ideas from above. Your mental body lotus petals reach like antennae for ideas and direction from divine Mind within the River of Life. They touch a corresponding vibration, and draw what you need to you.

You reach God though three portals, desire, intuition and illumination. A portal is an elaborate opening into the glory of God, unlike a plain "gate" or "door."

Desire is that Creative Impulse, made in the image and likeness of God. You are that Creative Impulse made by and for Him. You must feed desire with devotion, praise and love. Indifference, lukewarmness and "I-do not-care-ness" starve desire, so you have no substance for your prayer molds, no life in your body.

You are a creator, but how do you use your creative tools? You always pay a price for everything you get. Look up with your inner eye, and make certain your portal is open, for self closes every door. Be devoted to God or at least to the object of your prayer.

Declare, "I am alive, alert and aware, open to the River of Life flowing through me now."

Fill your creative molds when desire becomes a burning flame. The perfection of your desire takes you before the high altar, but what you have not yet comprehended brings you back to earth.

Humility is living up to your highest vision of God, and living for Him. Some confuse their idea of humility with acceptance. Humility looks at everything that comes as good, no matter how dark or unclean it appears.

If you have a high idea of your humility, you have pride instead. You close the portal to the River of Life when you think of self instead of God. You cannot be ill or lack for anything when the River of Life fills you.

When someone says, "I wish I had it as easy as you," it is a sign that the River of Life is filling you. Why be angry?

Paul taught four steps to build up desire: Walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. – Colossians 1:10-12.

To "walk worthy of the Lord" means holding honor to and for God first, above all things. If people leave you because of this, let them go, and stand on principle.

Walking refers to the feet, which represent understanding, and the arches, which symbolize your foundation principles. Are yours fallen? To walk worthy implies honor and loyalty to principle that leaves you unshakable and immovable.

"Increasing in the knowledge of God" opens the door to wisdom and understanding. Study exercises the mind, opens brain cells, and leaves little room for idle thoughts, which is one method of working out your own salvation.

You can arise weak and weepy, then something makes you joyous and strengthens your body. Why wait for an outside event? Create your own invincible joy, and be filled with the might of His glorious Power. Become a joy-maker instead of a suffering martyr. You never lack energy when you are joyful.

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister. – Colossians 1:21-23.

Grounded and steadfast means being stabilized in truth. Without understanding to add stability, you are grounded another way, with wings clipped and tail-feathers dragging.

Steadfastness is being settled in one place, and the best place is in the Light. Some settle down on one truth until they become stuck in opinion and prejudice. People say, "I've settled up" when they pay a debt. Being grounded in truth is the same – you are settled up in the Light.

The next two portals move from desire and will to intuition and illumination. As a neophyte, you ascend from faith in God to the faith of God. Then, no matter the outer appearance, you declare perfection even in the face of death, as Jesus did with Lazarus.

The lotus center over the pituitary gland opens under burning desire. Intuition awakens the brain cells of the cortex and you have a "listening station" for the Voice of God. Your brain cells turn upward to hear God, not the world. Intuition interprets the vibration into words when you listen with the ears of Mind.

Self is the interpreter at the solar plexus, the seat of subconscious mind. People still need psychiatry because everyone has a subconscious translator that often conflicts with reality.

The subconscious mind and the desire body combined form the seat of sensation. Thus, a person who has a hunch says, "I feel this." Hunches originate in the subconscious, which follows old patterns. A hunch means that self has taken over, not the soul vision that expands.

Super-conscious mind says, "Come higher," the subconscious says, "Stay down here with me," and soul stands in the middle, torn between the two. Descending in consciousness is like a dark nightmare.

Ascending through the portal of intuition leads you by the "still waters" of the golden silence. You do not need to enter the golden silence, for you are there now. Declare it a thousand times an hour, if necessary, to reach illumination. The seat of illumination is the pineal body, where you walk in expansive "green pastures." Green represents soul expansion and growth.

Finally, you arrive at a beautiful place, having expanded to the faith of God. You know success in all ways, inner and outer when you are "settled up" and steadfast beside the still waters. Then you experience three descents of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus asked his disciples to watch and pray with him in Gethsemane, but found them asleep. You watch and pray, then find your faith, love and joy sleeping. You entertain beliefs that shake your faith, feelings instead of love, and have a hunch that suggests someone out there should be good and make "me" happy.

Why settle for happiness when joy is available? Joy is a first principle of God and a name of the Begotten Son. To know joy, you must make yourself good and make others happy. Oversoul calls as the voice of intuition, "Watch with me." At last, faith, love and joy are awake.

Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory – Colossians 1:25-27.

With the third descent of the Holy Ghost, you unfold mysteries hidden for ages, awaiting revelation through intuition and illumination. "Ages" refer to time and "generations" refer to the people to whom God would make known the mysteries, the "nations" or Gentiles.

Christed consciousness is the hope of glory. Flaming desire ignites intuition into contacting its Source, until illumination fills you as the life of God. Then you are so settled and grounded that nothing of earth can disturb you.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God. – Matthew 6:33 is a law that any metaphysical baby can obey. Adults become this law of glory when they are settled up in the kingdom. Hold to this law. Stand on it as your foundation. Know that law is truth, verbally expressed.

Christ consciousness is not squeezed into your body, but is you, created in the image and likeness of God. The glory of God is yours to use on earth, so use it in lavish measure.
