Mystic, the Fourth Sacred Degree

The world defines a mystic as "a follower of a mystical way of life, an advocate of a theory of mysticism," someone who believes in the existence of realities beyond human comprehension. Mysticism — from the Greek, mystikos, an initiate of a mystery religion — is "the pursuit of communion with, identity with, or conscious awareness of an ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth, or God, through direct experience, intuition, instinct or insight."

“The mystic communes with God directly.”

A mystic practices a given form of mysticism or believes in the possibility of direct communion with the divine. In the degree of the Mystic, we develop our prayer life into an active and dynamic conversation with God as a personality, our Father, to whom we may always turn, knowing He will answer and comfort us, no matter what. The Mystic's key word is praise. Praising God frees you to pray with fervor at the heart center. Acceptance, surrender, obedience and praise are the paths to Transfiguration and levitation.

The Mystic asks, "Is this all there is?" Then he begins the wider, deeper, higher search for truth. The Mystic steps into the abyss of the unknown, willing to leave the dubious "safety" of intellectual knowledge in pursuit of the glory that he or she senses lies just beyond the veil covering their soul vision.

The great mystics of history have blazed a path through the abyss, leaving signposts along the way for those few adventuresome souls for whom mundane belief in God is insufficient. At this degree, as rational Mystics, we step beyond the formulaic prayers and liturgies into the abyss of creatively speaking the Word for God as His mouthpiece and servant.

Edna Lister on the Mystic Degree

The mystic is one who communes directly with God. – Edna Lister, January 30, 1933.

Jesus was a great scientist, the greatest philosopher of the ages, the great physician, the greatest mystic the world has ever had. He walked and talked with God, ascended his body, was an all-around man, all-developed, and every bit of him expressed as the Son of God. – Edna Lister, February 2, 1933.

A mystic communes with God. Mystical means "of God." – Edna Lister, Mystical Government, March 6, 1934.

Thousands seek the mystic way, yet never find it, for it reveals itself only to the earnest enduring one. – Edna Lister, The Single Vision, January 30, 1935.

The fifth degree of breath is pure ozone, a fiery essence that would burn the lung cells in an unprepared person if breathed undiluted. The four lower outer breaths transform this substance down to a lower degree, or rate of vibration, so it produces no harm on the lowest earth level. East Indian fakirs live on the fifth breath when they are buried alive. This is also the breath people touch in revivals, ecstatic voodoo dancing, other forms of mass hysteria, and insanity.

As the first spiritual breath, the fifth breath touches the universal divine Mind that is "in all, through all, as all." It causes action in every cell. We use the fifth degree of breath in all lifting, prayer and sublimation, for it draws the physical inward and upward toward higher Realms. It consumes the physical dross, raising the vibration, making the body light. Knowledge and control of the fifth breath are essential to create mastery. – Edna Lister, Seven Breaths in One, March 28, 1936.

The Mystic may pray in the outer and inner courts of the Temple, but the soul may enter the Holy of Holies only through complete mastery. The Mystic sees the glory while standing before the altar. The Mystic's initiation is Transfiguration. – Edna Lister, The Divine Scale of Twelve, February 18, 1937.

To pray effectively as a Mystic, who communes in Spirit with God, you take several steps in preparation and action. Your first steps include awareness, recognition and surrender. You must become aware of the need to pray, recognize that you are the agent God has on the scene, and act for Him to speak the Word. Then lift your self in surrender to the Light, and lift everything that comes to mind. Then visualize freedom and healing for everything and everyone you have seen with the eyes of soul, declaring, "Let Thy Power move forth, Father. Let the Light go forth to heal and make whole." Finally, praise and offer gratitude that God has already answered your prayer: "Let these words go out and accomplish that whereunto Thou dost send them, and let them return to me fulfilled."

Prayer is gratitude and praise, a powerful treatment, overcoming darkness and changing it into Light. As a Mystic, you enter the silence to see and hear God, not with your ears, but by listening with your brain cells. The silence is the uttermost stillness that earth can conceive, and in the silence, God is everywhere evenly present and available. You can enter the silence anywhere for it is a state of heaven-consciousness. You enter the silence to hear and interpret the Voice of God as words, or as symbols that you see with the mystic eye of God. – Edna Lister, Prayer and the Silence, May 25, 1939.

Life itself is your challenge to live life more fully, to be constant in your effort to ascend each day, to be determined in your efforts every hour of every day. When you really make sacrifice of self and surrender it to become law, then the Father can use you more than if you were speaking to crowds of thousands, because more Power moves forth unselfishly as God. When full sacrifice of desire here accompanies inner initiations, the physical body reacts to the point of feeling blistered by the high fire initiations. This is not imagination, but proof you are passing your tests. When you only imagine them, you experience no physical reaction.

Any teacher of laws of the mystics can tell exactly what grade, phase, realm of inner work an aspirant is in, or if it is only imaginary, because of much reading backed by desire of self. It is really very simple, once you have become law. You just know because you have earned the right to know. Nothing can be hidden from the one who understands, meaning that once you have ascended, you see all below where you now stand. The higher the ascension, the more is opened to you. You just cannot avoid knowing if you ascend. – Edna Lister, December 28, 1944.

Seven Degrees to transformation progress from self awareness to soul consciousness: The first three degrees, the Neophyte, Disciple, and Adept all practice varying degrees of self-control. The Mystic stands at the center point of balance, the fulcrum between self and soul. As a Mystic, you commune directly with God, needing no other intervening agency, creed or dogma. The final three degrees, the Master, Priest and Christos all deal with soul conquering through absolute responsibility, service and surrender of the self to the soul. You work on all seven degrees always. – Edna Lister, April 13, 1945.

You have been touched with divine mystic Power with which you may create anything you now desire in your life. Yet, you must pay a price to use this Power of love — your full-time, full-hearted effort of loving, praising, singing joy and faithful, steadfast effort in advance, onward and upward. Only by the conquest of self may this mystic gift fulfill itself in and through you. Therefore, you must be determined, persistent and faithful in your efforts to ascend. – Edna Lister, March 22, 1948.

As you lift your hands and look up in Spirit, you open the mystic eye. Raise your hands, palms inward to include your eyes and ears before you speak in prayer. Never use this method of prayer selfishly or to put someone in bondage to do your will instead of God's will for them. This would be a terrible misuse of Power as black magic. If one misuses the Power of mystical prayer, the veils of illusion descend as doubt, fear and negative emotions. Eventually the selfish one destroys himself. – Edna Lister, The Twelve Tribes, June 22, 1948.

You err if you do not worship God as both principle and personality on the Mystic Degree. When you align your relationship with God, you can easily align your relationships with others. God as principle provides you the reasons for being. God as personality, Father or Christ, satisfies your longing for security and identity, and is the Mystic's guide to greater Light. The mystic truth of God as personality and your relationship to Divinity are mysteries. Some know "who, what, when, where, why and how" with an intellectual-mental rather than a devotional-spiritual approach. Yet no soul can be perfectly content unless it has a balanced relationship with God as principle and personality. – Edna Lister, From Light to Form as a Creator — Seven Breaths, August 2, 1949.

The Mystic presides over the church of Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) at the heart center, which includes the celestial quadrant of Cancer, Leo and Virgo. You fulfill the promise of the morning star when you praise from the heart. The vagus nerve (pneumogastric nerve) presides at the solar plexus and extends to the stomach (Cancer), heart (Leo) and lungs (Virgo). Virgo is the house of unleavened bread. Cancer represents the faculty of desire. Leo represents the faculty of will. Virgo represents inspiration, imagination and the second surrender of desire and will at the mental level. – Edna Lister, The Seven Churches, December 13, 1949.

Everyone is ascending, at least in part. Sometimes you recognize your soul debts and help another. At other times, you do not see and may withhold aid. Helping the other fellow lift, no matter what, is the Christos work. When you work from this standpoint, you become a Christos Adept. As a Neophyte, you hear about ascension of the body. The Disciple talks about it and tries, haphazardly. All control, manipulation and formulaic demonstration is under the Adept Degree. The Mystic communes directly with God. The minute you surrender to the Almighty Father, you become a mystic. – Edna Lister, October 2, 1950.

The Seven Degrees of Ascension, on which you are climbing, include the Neophyte, Disciple, Adept, Mystic, Master, Priest and Christos. You can enter the major Seven Degrees only through seven lesser degrees under each. An illiterate Neophyte can be living a Christos life. Thus, you pass through 49 Degrees from Neophyte to reach Christos, just as earning a doctorate requires having passed all the lesser courses of study. – Edna Lister, June 14, 1951.

Until you raise the creative fire from the sacrum to the crown center to sublimate it, the mystic eye will not open. When you open the nerves of the midbrain, Light strikes the optic thalamus and you spiritually see with the midbrain neurons, which fill the convolutions of the brain. The Mystic simply stands before the altar and recalls the glory of the Presence to commune with God. You do not release much Power unless you commune with God. Some people are proud that they can commune with nature, which is but a fraction of God, who is the cause behind nature. Praying to nature is no more than an Adept's fancy. – Edna Lister, The Seven Churches, November 20, 1951.

To ascend to the Mystic Brotherhood, you must first accept responsibility for everything. Second, you must believe in Jesus the Christ as the Only Begotten Son. Third, you must give up all self. "Take up thy cross" means to give up all self and to accept everything that comes. All vows, goals and laws black out at the moment we lose sight of the Path of Ascension. – Edna Lister, October 17, 1954.

To open the mystic vision requires driving, steadfast and continuous effort, a real struggle to silence earth's clamor, distractions, frustrations, obstacles and hurts long enough really to see clearly. Then, forgetting the outer is easy because you see that it does not matter. You forever lift the ballast and the soul rises on wings of Light to soar above earth's petty hindrances. No one can ignore this glory, which is more than worth every effort, struggle and letting go of every personality that seeks to tie us to earth. By "letting go," I do not mean letting down. Hold them up higher than ever, on a cloud continent of Light, where they cannot touch you. – Edna Lister, October 1, 1956.

Every time you pray as a Mystic, you touch the higher degrees of ascension, even if you are still a Neophyte. Only prayer will take you through the Gates of Light to become a mediator between earth and heaven. The Mystic communes with God, alone in the silence, from the heart center, which is the respiratory rate of balance among the lower and higher centers. – Edna Lister, Conquering Space, October 20, 1957.

Mysticism is the soul's quest for truth that which is mysterious, obscure, unknown, veiled, hidden, as yet unprovable by science but revealed by personal experience and observation. A Mystic is one who communes with God as personality, directly. God is the source of all personality. All our difficulties are traceable to our relationship with God and man through personality. Mysticism is the study of God's personality, and deals with heaven as a place.

Your photographic memory cells are always ready for you to open and use. They record what happens on the inner at night and can later unfold the memory of all you have seen and learned there. This is one important form of mystical revelation. Science cannot yet prove the experiences of mysticism. Each proves mysticism for himself through observation and personal experiences. – Edna Lister, How to Cultivate Photographic Memory — Five Categories of Expression, November 19, 1957.

The Mystic's goal is to achieve the respiratory rate of balance between inner and outer at the heart center, to stand between heaven and earth. As you achieve this balance, you begin crossing out self, expressing as "I-me-my-mine" at the throat center of speech. This opens the mystical "third eye" at the brow center. Then you are ready to enter the Garden of Eden for the first marriage of the Lamb, mating self-desire with God's love and self-will with God's will. Self-desire is covetousness, and self-will creates force. You must lift this self completely before this marriage can take place. – Edna Lister, Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes, November 4, 1958.

You can take the mystic eye to the grocery store with you and see what not to buy. Seeing with mystic vision is just natural when you live by God's laws. The mystic eye focuses us on the original Light substance in cells, molecules, atoms and electronic charges. It is invisible, but I have taken you there by speaking the Word in description. When you turn your imagination upward to vision, you see with the mystic eye. Beware: You see all the pain and disease with the mundane physical eye. Look beyond the pain with your mystical eye, and use imagination to visualize the perfect.

Direct your vision to what God can do through you if you stand. If you look at someone with self's eyes, you see horns and a tail. Look beyond and see them as perfect. Look behind the mask they are wearing, and see the beauty and love they really are. The world may accuse you of wearing rose-colored glasses, for the mystic eye is the promise of all romance. Life has no romance without the use of the mystic eye. Physical eyes see all the detriments, but the mystic eye sees the source of love.

The heart center, associated with the Mystic Degree, separates the three upper from the lower centers. From here we can pass through the Gates of Light that separate the lower planes of consciousness from the realms of heaven. Thus, we call it the point of balance between the higher and the lower rates of vibration. The Mystic must go through the Gates by uplifting the self to go to God and face Him alone. You surrender self by becoming. Surrender is not forceful doing, hearing or talking about it, for here you are at the point of becoming all your potential. Your Guards escort you from the Gate of the Mystic Mediator and through your initiations only through prayer. – Edna Lister, February 17, 1958.

Only the Mystic can commune with God, pass the Gates of Light and travel the path of ascension through the etheric currents that separate heaven realms and the world. [The heliosphere and the Van Allen radiation belt of energetic charged particles (plasma) are examples of the etheric currents.] Prayer and devotion guard us on the path, and you cannot be a Mystic without devotion. The love of God is the burning desire that takes you through the Gates. The moment you say you love Him, you ascend higher on your own path of Light. – Edna Lister, May 8, 1958.

Anything of the little self fogs your heavenly vision and you cannot see clearly with the mystic eye. – Edna Lister, A Charted Heaven, October 21, 1958.

Mysticism reveals God's hidden nature as personality, and that God speaks as personality through personality to personality. A mystic communes directly with God or philosophically stated, with divine Mind. The mystic prays to God, knows God, accepts God and longs with all his heart and soul to return to God, the Source of All Light and life. A pioneering Mystic passes beyond intellectually practicing metaphysical mental science that holds him stuck within his skull. Mental science is good but to ascend in consciousness, your burning desire must flame beyond the ceiling. The true Mystic has the soul ambition to return to God under sacrificial surrender as a selfless servant of all Power. A true pioneering Mystic is single-mindedly determined to ascend after spiritual rebirth and resurrection from old beliefs and ways of living.

As you obey principle as law, you begin to pioneer in the new high territory of ascension of consciousness. The Mystic uses the soul faculties of intuition — related to love — and illumination — related to wisdom — to commune directly with God and become all law received through this communion. The pioneering Mystic becomes the law of humility, which is God's wisdom and love in perfect balance as compassion. To the pioneering Mystic, conquering is becoming all the laws received through initiations under the great Seven Degrees. – Edna Lister, The Pioneering Mystic, May 5, 1959.

A mystic ascends under criticism without paying attention to what others think or say. God and all the Heavenly Councils care nothing for another's opinion or judgment of you. Councils judge you on what you are and the lights and colors of your aura. Criticism provides a stage for your initiations to ascend in consciousness and to lift. – Edna Lister, The Pioneering Mystic, May 5, 1959.

The pioneering Mystic is learning to achieve a perfect balance of love and wisdom. Using the soul faculties of intuition and illumination, the Mystic communes directly with God and works to become the law received through this communion. The Mystic Degree requirement is contemplation of the glory of God. Standing before your altar in the golden silence, you contemplate the glory concealed by the fourth veil of illusion. Standing in the golden silence, the Mystic maintains a constant contact with the Source and names all things good and very good. The materiality of self falls from the soul and his face shines as pure joy. The Mystic Degree rules the thymus and the cardiac plexus at the heart center.

The thymus is the gland of eternal youth, and is the immune system architect. [Located in front and above the heart, it grows until puberty, when it atrophies and is replaced by fat and connective tissue; its atrophy may be the source of aging. The cardiac plexus innervates the heart along with vagus nerve fibers (tenth cranial nerve, it slows the heart‑rate). The vagus also innervates the pharynx, larynx, carotid body, bronchial muscles and lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas, kidney, colon and thoracic and abdominal viscera.]

The heart center (of the Mystic Degree) is the respiratory rate of balance between the lower creative center and lower vital centers and the entrance to the higher vital centers and higher creative center, which is the Mystic's citadel of soul conquering in the Promised Land. The Mystic possesses the Promised Land by perfectly balancing love and wisdom. The Mystic learns high prayer and praise (you cannot pray successfully without praise in your heart). To develop your spiritual gifts you must achieve balance at the heart center by completely conquering the drag of emotion and mere intellect. – Edna Lister, The Pioneering Mystic, May 5, 1959.

No man can hide anything from one who has earned the right to know. Ours is a Mystic Order. The first law of our Order is a principle — honor above all things. Your solemn obligation under honor and loyalty to God is to lift evil the minute you hear about it and love the who or what into the Light. Follow your own high code of honor regardless of what the world thinks or says. – Edna Lister, May 7, 1959.

Transfiguration is the Mystic Degree initiation. A catalyst brings together two different substances and transfigures them into a new, common substance, which is a mediator, the vibratory rate of balance between the visible and invisible worlds. When Jesus transfigured himself, he recalled and integrated his prior incarnations as Moses and Elijah, whom his disciples saw. Transfiguration raises the cellular vibratory rate of balance from the coarser material to the radiant electronic fire body.

The Oversoul descends in the fire body under transfiguration, causing the outer sheath to radiate the white Christ Light. Jesus had often disappeared — called translation — but his transfiguration was his fire body vibration shining through his outer physical sheath. All materiality fell from him. His face glistered with the Light from within, visible and brilliant as the sun, even his clothes shone. Yet only three of his disciples could see his white fire body.

You do not instantly transfigure yourself completely, but a bit at a time. Every time you pray as a Mystic, you transfigure a little. Hatha yoga — the yoga of breath — teaches this, but may require that its Adept to concentrate on this phase for thirty-five years. Use prayer to redeem the life sparks and draw them in from the world where you invested them. Surrender to the Father and Light will transfigure your physical body as you ascend. At night, to open your body for Light to permeate it, declare, "I commend my spirit unto Thee, oh Father. Let Thy Spirit move through this body. Let it be healed and purified into Light." When you declare perfection before going to sleep, you open yourself to God's energy and substance and awaken light and happy.

In the morning, breathe deeply and declare, "Move into your body, Name, and take charge to occupy it for the day." Do not dangle halfway between here and there. Stand ten feet tall, open yourself to the River of Life and say, "Let the Spirit of God as Light move through me." If you close out God's Power, you push 14.7 pounds per square inch of atmosphere before you, but if you open yourself, it flows through you. – Edna Lister, Transfiguration, Resurrection and Ascension, May 19, 1959.

The fourth degree represents the vibratory rate of balance between inner and outer, between doing and being the law. Mercury the messenger rules the degree of the Mystic who communes directly with God in prayer. You become only under prayer that is eloquent, mercurial, quick (Mercury rules quicksilver) and transfiguring to be effective. This is how you reach transfiguration. Prayer is how to pass each test quickly, the only way to cross each abyss.

Under the negative mental-intellectual Mercury vibration, you just think about it, analyze and rationalize it to death. Intellectual prayer sinks into the body and your consciousness remains within your skull, under the ceiling. The Mystic is under Mercury because prayers are mercurial in nature and sometimes only half there, between doing and being. You can become a Mystic only by praying. – Edna Lister, Transfiguration, Resurrection and Ascension, May 19, 1959.

Hearing mystically is a matter of alerting every brain cell in the golden bowl, opening every station of nerves, pointing consciousness in but one direction, God-ward. Hearing is not hard, but the training to become and remain conscious is. The training must be rigid and is doubly difficult in this age because you must train self yourself, then submit to rigid and constant soul discipline. Your capacity is limitless. To retreat for a few days, where nothing interferes, would suffice to polish hearing. Yet interpretation would still be off 90 percent of the time because the self would still be claiming hours of attention while doing nothing to lift darkness from earth.

Balancing earth experience with heavenly illumination is essential to the attaining the Mystic Degree. We call this tying earth to heaven, lifting our consciousness and lines of responsibility into heaven, not dragging heaven down to earth. All your past training has been for this one moment in time. You are ready for the polishing, and earth is in travail to receive it. Now is the time. – Edna Lister, May 22, 1959.

The Mystic serves God day and night, inwardly singing. Praise frees you to pray with fervor at the heart center. The heart center is the respiratory rate of balance among the three lower and three higher vital centers. Transfiguration, the Mystic Brotherhood initiation on this degree, is drawing in and ascending the physical life sparks to the desire, mental body and spiritual bodies. You transfigure yourself under service to God only.

The Mystic's power of being is setting aside gravitation, becoming too light to be held by earth gravity, walking on light-beams, a raised and indrawn atomic mental body vibration. You must sublimate emotions to levitate or walk on water. Acceptance, surrender, obedience and praise are our paths to transfiguration and levitation. You lift the "little self" into I AM consciousness under praise, thankfulness, gratitude and devotion. – Edna Lister, Eight Great Powers of Being, June 23, 1959.

More people are seeing and hearing spiritually, feeling and knowing their Guardians Angels are near. Many are thus practicing mystic vision, seeing and hearing extended into higher ranges of vibration. Many more are becoming steadfast in the practice of all virtues, thus earning rewards of comprehension that include hearing and seeing beyond the outer visible. God can deny no one who desires with burning, flaming glory to enter inner worlds, to make soul flights to high realms, cities, and suns. Yet, it requires greater sacrifice of self than ever, a soul-searching period in which you may indulge in no self-delusions of already being perfect. Nor yet can you tell yourself that "it does not matter because I meant no harm." To compare yourself only with Christ can lift the soul from earth's weight and toils, from bondage to the need to overcome and lift past misuse of Mind, Substance and Power. – Edna Lister, February 26, 1960.

Mysticism is the Mind of God as personality, ordering all things. Principle can think and plan as Wisdom but must order, nourish and control as personality. Personality sends substance where needed. – Edna Lister, How Can I Help Myself? May 31, 1960.

You must seek a middle road of balance, not Adept control, but more to the middle for the Mystic conquering of self. Stop looking for results in the other fellow. Drop a pearl of wisdom like a seed, and withdraw. Watch then — the other fellow will pick it up and offer it as his own. Forget the bigheaded "me." That's all we are as Mystics, seed droppers. If you want knowledge and wisdom for personal gain, you kill the seed before you drop it, thus sowing unfertile seed. – Edna Lister, October 13, 1961.

The heart represents zeal, burning desire and is the rate of equilibrium between the lower and higher centers, between earth- and heaven-consciousness. As a Mystic, you have zeal, burning desire but not always common sense. Thus, you still can go soft on sentimentality. At this point, many souls feel the creative fire ascend, then go overboard as evangelists. They push everyone into heaven ahead of them, but using force, don't get in themselves. Get up there first, before you think to proselytize, and learn to entice souls to God without forcing your will. – Edna Lister, The Seven-Branched Candle Stand, October 17, 1961.

Our truth is not negative in any way, shape or form. How can you be negative if you follow the Mystic Brotherhood of Jesus the Christ? You couldn’t touch the Path of Ascension with a pin point’s worth of intolerance or blame. – Edna Lister, January 4, 1962.

Keep the mystical eye turned upward. You must leave the worldly eye of mind and ascend to the mystical eye of revelation. – Edna Lister, April 30, 1962.

The fourth degree of breath is the working breath of the Crown and represents the Mystic who communes with God by prayer. Its seat of power is the heart center, and it represents 36 soul virtues. – Edna Lister, December 17, 1962.

The Mystic initiation is Transfiguration, such as Jesus underwent, and described in Matthew 17:1‑9, Mark 9:2‑8, and Luke 9:28‑36. Peter describes the Transfiguration, which he witnessed: "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount." – 2 Peter 1:16-18. – Edna Lister, The Fiery Furnace, March 19, 1970.

On the Tablet of Your Heart

This Linda Mihalic sermon transcript is dated August 7, 2011, Cleveland, Ohio. Scripture: Jeremiah 17:1, Mark 7:20-23, Jeremiah 31:33, Matthew 6:19-21, Jeremiah 24:7, and Jeremiah 32:39-41

"The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with the point of a diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart." – Jeremiah 17:1.

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings." – Jeremiah 17:9-10.

"And [Jesus] said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications; murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man." – Mark 7:20-23.

"I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts." – Jeremiah 31:33.

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." – Matthew 6:19-21.

"I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart." – Jeremiah 24:7.

"They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul." – Jeremiah 32:39-41.

The human heart is an excellent example of God's creative perfection. As a double pump design, the heart has four chambers, the lower left and right ventricles, and the upper left and right atria.

Your heart is a powerful muscle that beats nonstop throughout your life. It pumps more than 1,500 gallons of blood daily, about one-third cup of blood with each beat in adults. On average, the body contains about five quarts of blood, which circulates continually.

When your heart stops, the blood supply to your brain fails, and you die. The heart functions under the autonomic nervous system, which is involuntary, meaning that its actions are not under conscious control of the central nervous system. However, we've proven that by breathing slowly, deeply and rhythmically, you can slow the heart beat.

The autonomic nervous system powers the smooth muscle of the inner organs, such as the heart's cardiac muscle, the digestive tract, the bladder, blood vessels, glands, and ciliary muscle of the eyes. The autonomic system maintains homeostasis, a state of dynamic equilibrium. The autonomic system uses the "fight or flight response" to prepare the body for dealing with threatening situations. It is the only part of the nervous system in which synapses occur outside the protection of the skull or the vertebrae. Synaptic responses occur primarily between the neurons of the brain, within the golden bowl, Thus, the ancients accurately referred to the "wisdom of the heart."

The heart is your organ of mediation between earth and heaven-consciousness. Its pumping action exactly patterns after the expansion and contraction of the Creative Impulse, like a fist opening and closing. The heart is electromagnetic in operation. When you, as a soul, are ready to incarnate in a body, your great guardian angels assist you in plugging the forked end of your silver cord into the parent cells provided by your mother and father, the ovum and sperm. In later development, these cells become the site of the heart's sinoatrial node and the atrioventricular bundle. The node and bundle use Purkinje fibers to maintain the heartbeat.

Everything in the universe operates under the laws of number and name, which dictate the rate of vibration in the varying manifestations of Mind, Substance, and Power. The electromagnetic spectrum perfectly illustratess this. Each soul has its own particular name and number, different from everyone else. From the moment you plug in the silver cord at birth here, God writes upon your heart all the laws you have ever been exposed to, learned and which you are responsible for obeying. Along with these laws, He writes your remaining sins, which are all the choices you have made against God's Light and not paid.

As Jeremiah said, "The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with the point of a diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart." – Jeremiah 17:1. Jeremiah had much to say about the heart, truths given him by the Lord. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings." – Jeremiah 17:9-10.

This passage startlingly foreshadows Jesus' speech in Mark: [Jesus] said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man.

Mind is a primary principle. We are constantly bathing in the River of Life, which is a stream of principles, such as Mind, Substance and Power. The primary patterns for all objective thoughts exist within the River of Life. Plato called these patterns Forms or Ideas. Your individual mind, being bathed in this river filled with ideas, fishes in the stream and catches thoughts. Thoughts, in turn, can cause your brain to release or suppress neurotransmitters. These are the brain's chemicals, and they affect the endocrine system through the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland.

Emotions are body-based, arising from the chemical intersection of the primitive drivers in the brain's limbic system and the endocrine gland hormone secretions. The limbic system regulates stress, the emotions and sexual and physical drives.

Objective thoughts may produce feelings of joy, excitement or sharpened curiosity, but this is a sticky issue. Before you say that thoughts produce emotions, you must determine whether limbic system's primitive drives are the culprits.

The body-based emotions all too easily influence your thoughts, usually creating subjective negativity. The extremes of this are depression and compulsive negative thinking.

Stress, fueled by negative emotions and thinking, can wear the heart out. Humans are subject to 70 or more heart problems, syndromes and diseases, medically. The leading cause of death worldwide is coronary artery disease, basically a hardened heart, one filled with plaque. People say, "I'm broken-hearted, just heart-sick" and they are. They speak the Word and their declaration comes to pass. Every day is a new beginning. You awaken in the morning and God grants you the glorious opportunity of changing your mind and heart to be more like Him.

God has warned us that the heart is "deceitful" and "desperately wicked." How does this wickedness come to fill the heart? Is a newborn wicked? Not intrinsically, yet your sins are written on your heart from birth, so the potential for choosing wickedness exists, right from the start. "Desperately wicked" sounds like that devil, the self. The frontal lobes of the brain are the seats of higher cognition and creativity, of objective thinking. The self cannot use the frontal lobes directly, but can clamor so loudly that the conscious mind, the soul, can hardly hear itself think. Self usurps the thought processes – it hijacks the conscious function and enslaves the soul with its jabber.

The Father searches your heart and He tests your mind. You receive exactly what you have created, earned and deserve, based on your thoughts and emotions.

Jesus so emphasized the importance of this that Mark and Matthew recorded it. The Gospel of Matthew lists seven soul taints: "evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies." Mark expands that list to thirteen, adding "covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, pride, and foolishness." If you indulged any of these sins in your past, this life or previously, these sins are written on the tablet of your heart with a diamond-pointed pen of iron. The law is exact. As Jeremiah said, "I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts." – Jeremiah 31:33.

So, God also writes the laws upon the tablet of your heart. If the sins are too many, they leave little room for law, and the soul is in danger of becoming a "lawless one." If the soul persists in sinning in this life, the sins can overflow to blot out the knowledge of law. Again, the soul is in danger of becoming lawless. A fully lawless soul can no longer discern the difference between right and wrong, between good and evil. This describes a sociopath or psychopath. This is how people damage or destroy their moral compass. When that happens, they can no longer find their soul's home in the courts of heaven.

Your soul knows the truth. You are the children of God, sons and daughters of the greatest Father and Mother. You are destined to become a creatorslike your heavenly parents, and this is your soul's treasure. Knowing the truth of this mystery, we can now easily understand what Jesus meant in the Sermon on the Mount: "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." – Matthew 6:19-21.

Our heavenly Father assures us that this is true. He says, "I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart." – Jeremiah 24:7. When you repent of earth's bondage, you remember your Source and your divine heritage. Our Father gives you a new heart, by cleansing the record of your sin from your heart. You are no longer a slave to your past sins, but you must still pay the debts associated with it. God gives you a whole heart with which you may love Him more and whole-heartedly. This is the perfection of spiritual healing through the Holy Spirit.

This is an astonishing promise, yet you may trust in its truth, for as Jeremiah also prophesied, "They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.

The human heart, in Hebrew, is spelled lamed-vav-vav, and the word has a numerical value of thirty-four. The root of the word means "joined." In contrast, the heart of an angel is spelled lamed-vav, with a numerical value of thirty-two.

The human heart is double, while the angel's heart is single. The human heart is attracted by heaven while remaining bound to earth. In this text, God is saying that He will give man a single heart like the heart of an angel, bound only to heaven.

God is also promising to give you "one way," the way of the Christ. The fear of the Lord is respectful obedience to His law. This is the Christed covenant of surrendered devotion and sacrifice of the self in ascension.

Finally, the Lord is promising to plant you in the land with all His heart and all His soul. This describes the endowment of your complete Supreme Oversoul.

This is no far-off event, distant in time and space. Our Father is ready to give you this soul endowment right now. This gift of a new whole heart is yours for the giving up of the selfishness that leads you into the paths of desperate wickedness.

Self: All you need to do is to give it up to God in exchange for your record of sin. When the record is erased from your heart, all the laws you have known and learned emerge for your devoted obedience.

This becomes easier as you choose to cling to God and His Christ rather than the world and its cheap imitations of glory, its illusions of happiness. The world can give you nothing of value except the experience of lessons well-learned.

How often you must take the same tests because you failed is strictly up to you. God cannot break His own laws to force you. You operate strictly according to will, choosing whether it will be God's will or your own self-will.

Discerning the difference between God's will for you and your selfish will to do as you please is the work of your lifetime. The worst thing you can do is to project your will onto God, saying that what you want must be what He wants for you. This only delays the day of your soul's freedom and lengthens your bondage to earth.

August 10 is all about freedom, the period set aside for lifting darkness and evil form earth and from individual souls. This August 10, God is giving us the matchless gift of soul freedom from sin.

All you need to do is to boldly approach the throne of grace and ask. Your wishes shall be granted, and for your loved ones, too. Ask for forgiveness and know that God erases the record of sin as you pay your debts.

From August 10 to September 19, special Lights are upon you to highlight and reveal your every need in lifting and obedience. The results will set the rate of vibration for your conquering and ascension until October 20, the beginning of the next initiatory year.

Imagine for a moment what this may mean. God is interceding on your behalf with the greatest outpouring of mercy in all history. He is doing so because our Lord Christ has petitioned on your behalf, on behalf of the Elect everywhere. We have merited this extension of mercy and grace.

With freedom from the weight of sin, you symbolically open the Gates of Light to freedom for every God-centered soul on the planet. What could be greater?

This is our service. This is our destiny. This is God's will for us, to shine as His brightest Lights in the face of a rising tide of darkness. When the Elect of Christ choose to shine forth, no darkness can remain in the world, for our Light shall be too bright.

Let there be Light!

The Fearless Heart

This Linda Mihalic sermon transcript is dated October 16, 2016, Cleveland, Ohio.Scriptures: Deuteronomy 10:12-16 and Mark 8:1-21.

"In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: and if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away. And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side. Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven. And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?" – Mark 8:1-21.

The text of the eighth chapter of the Gospel of Mark begins with the story of Jesus feeding four thousand people who been with him for three days while he healed their sick and preached. Among them were a number of Pharisees who were listening to him teach and expound the law. They had been arguing with him earlier, as told in the preceding chapter of Mark.

After he fed the four thousand, Jesus and his disciples immediately set sail for another town on the Sea of Galilee. As soon as they arrived, the local Pharisees came to question them and sought a sign from him. They wanted him to prove that he was authentic, a true prophet of God, not some charlatan or magician. This they did often, wherever he went. They followed him from the beginning of his ministry, and continued until they saw him crucified.

He said, "Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation." The fact hat he refused to give a sign to "this generation," which is significant on several levels. We need some background to understand this.

In Jesus' time Judaism was composed of three main approaches to worshiping God. The Sadducees, Pharisees, and the Essenes each had their own dogma, the beliefs and principles by which they lived.

The Sadducees were named from the term zaddikim, which means "the upright, righteous or holy ones." They believed in the letter of the written law in the Torah, the first five books of the Hebrew Bible. They did not recognize the oral tradition of the law as binding, nor did they believe in the spirit, an afterlife, or reincarnation. Acts 23: reads, "The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both." The Sadducees were the elites of the wealthy priestly class, and were well-educated.

The Pharisees were named from the Hebrew term phares, which means "divided," so named because they had deliberately separated themselves from those who did not believe and practice Judaism as strictly as they did. Zealously devoted to the law and daily study of it, they believed in an afterlife, the doctrine of spiritual debts, and of many lives.

Generally, the Pharisees were also well educated but occupied the merchant class and often were fine craftsmen. In their quest for piousness, they added many burdensome niggling customs and traditions to the law. Jesus openly disapproved of this.

Little is known about the Essenes beyond the accounts written by Josephus, Philo, and Pliny. The origin of their name is unknown with any certainty, but may possibly be derived from aciya, which means "healer." A highly mystical sect, devoted to soul development and purity, they lived communally in their own villages, apart from unbelievers. According to Josephus, they combined the ascetic virtues of the Pythagoreans and Stoics with a spiritual knowledge of divine law. The Essenes did not survive the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Given what we know of the beliefs of these three sects, it is immediately obvious that Jesus' teachings were more in line with the Essenes than with the Sadducees or Pharisees. And he did so many things that irritated them: He dined in the homes of sinners, with prostitutes and tax collectors and taught them together with uneducated farmers, herders, craftsmen and tradesmen, and their wives and children.

From Mark's account of a few days in Jesus' ministry, we see that the Pharisees had hounded him in two Galilean towns, and as he was leaving to travel by boat to yet another town. Jesus sighed deeply within his spirit because the Pharisees were testing him yet again. He had some friends among them, Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, for example, men who respected him and his teachings and earnestly wanted to know more. His message and charisma attracted them, but their hidebound conservatism and dogma kept urging them to challenge his authority to teach the way he did. They wanted endless explanations.

The text says that Jesus departed to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which means that he traveled away from the cross-vibrations created by the crowd and his challengers. The vibration he carried within his aura of lights and colors must have been so high frequency that he made the people love him or hate him, but none could remain unmoved by him. His charisma was intense.

After they set sail, the disciples realized that they had forgotten to buy bread. As you read the Gospel accounts closely, paying attention to the details, you will notice that their forgetfulness is mentioned in several other places. Imagine what it must have been like to travel with him, being in his company day after day and in the night watches as well. They had only one loaf, which was not nearly enough to feed them all.

They must have told Jesus that they had no food. Jesus delegated responsibility to his disciples. For example, we know that Judas Iscariot was the bag man of the group, he collected all the donations and love offerings that funded Jesus' ministry. From the feeding the 5,000 story, we know that Philip and Andrew were tasked with making sure the group had food. So it was likely they approached him to confess their oversight.

Jesus responded by saying, "Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod." As a reaction to learning that they were about to go hungry, his reply seems off the wall, but we must remember that he used every opportunity to teach them how obedience to law affects consciousness. The Power he had released over the past few days had been terrific. Most people come unglued under such great Power. They act giddy, go off-track easily and forget the basics in life, like locking the door behind them, turning off the oven or misplacing the car keys five times in a row.

Jesus had been pondering the difficulty the Pharisees were having with their intellectualism being in conflict with what their souls knew was the truth. Many of them were first life wave descended creator gods, high ones who had become lost in the minutiae of pointless petty customs that they had added in the oral law over the centuries. Like a barnacle-laden ship, their consciousness needed to be keel-hauled and freed.

When the disciples mentioned bread, Jesus instantly saw what the problem really was, not with the disciples but with the Pharisees. Leaven causes bread dough to rise. You need leaven because otherwise, the dough remains a flat, hard lump, barely digestible. Leaven has two meanings: it is a substance, typically yeast, that is added to dough to make it ferment and rise. Leaven can also be a pervasive influence that modifies something, lightens or transforms it for the better.

The leaven of the Pharisees had gone flat and could no longer make their spiritual bread, their souls, rise. Every truth movement through the ages started with an idea, a truth so iconoclastic that it caused irreversible ferment and change. Moses removed the tribes from Egypt where they had become so lazy they ended up as slaves making bricks without straw. God fed them miraculous manna for forty years in the wilderness, until they broke the habit of depending on the world. We see this today in the "democratic" and Marxist welfare states world-wide.

The leaven of Herod was crass materialism and sensualism, the net result of which is worship of the body, its senses and secular humanism that exalts man above God. We see so many examples of both types of toxic leaven in the world, its religions, political systems, and the globalist push for what the forces of evil call social justice and human rights. Jesus called these people "this generation" because they had all been in Egypt and with Moses in the wilderness. They were still arguing with God's appointed Voice.

Jesus came with a message of love, which is the perfect leavening agent of spiritual change and transformation. You can feed a person's body, but unless you also feed his heart and mind the good food of truth, moral law, ethical behavior and integrity, you will not save his soul alive. Once enough love has been added to a soul's dough, ascension of consciousness results in transfiguration. In fact, Mark records Jesus' Transfiguration in the very next chapter. Notably, Jesus took only Peter, James and John as witnesses, for only they, of all the disciples, had reached high enough in consciousness to bear witness and endure the Power.

The disciples were taken aback with Jesus' admonition and so "they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread." This is exactly how the little self jumps to conclusions, by reacting emotionally and reasoning without any logical basis at all. By assuming that they were being chastised for missing a detail, they egotistically managed to make the situation all about themselves.

They had been with Jesus, in his company throughout all the events in this episode. They saw and heard everything that had happened, including feeding the multitude the day before and how Jesus had to deal with the hostile and argumentative Pharisees. Yet they "reasoned," which shows that they and fallen flat and hard in consciousness, worrying about the world and what it thinks. Jesus warned them of the leaven of the Pharisees (pride) and Herod (greed), which represented the religious, social and political facets of the world. What the disciples needed instead was the leaven of love.

Moses was the Voice of God in his day, and said this to the tribes before they crossed the Jordan River: "And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, to keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Only the Lord had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked." – Deuteronomy 10:12-16.

Jesus was always aware of every dimension in life, and of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states of the people near him. He was able to be so because his heart was circumcised and therefore fearless. Simply put, the foreskin of your heart is self and its imagined separation from God. Self believes in God and itself, its wants its urges, its cravings and its desires. Appetitive soul wants every physical appetite gratified right now.

When Jesus knew what they were thinking and whispering, he said, "Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?" – Mark 8:17-18.

Jesus was not questioning these men solely on the events of the day, or their forgetfulness. This speech is a continuation of an ongoing conversation he was having with them, a line of teaching that he had opened earlier.

In the third chapter of Mark, Jesus had healed a man's withered hand in the synagogue at Capernaum in the presence of the town's Pharisees. "When he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him." – Mark 3:5-6.

The Pharisees' hardness of heart had grieved and angered Jesus. He knew they were hypocrites and planned to betray him. As intelligent and well educated men, they ought to have known better than to reason from opinion, or from emotion without a logical base. Logic is the only starting place for clear thinking, the only way to arrive at truth without jumping to conclusions or through inductive rather than deductive reasoning.

Unless you have been taught the difference between inductive versus deductive reasoning, you probably do not really even know how to think. Deductive reasoning is fact-based and depends on principles and laws one knows are demonstrably true, and proceeds to prove the point step by step in a clear chain. Inductive reasoning is inherently uncertain, often based on limited personal experience and argues from the particular to the general. You can call it fuzzy logic.

Jesus had explained all this to his disciples as part of how he trained them in philosophy, psychology, metaphysics, science, and mysticism. He knew they were inductively reasoning when he heard them reasoning from their their fear of having made a mistake, their emotions, not from fact. So he asked them why they were reasoning instead of perceiving the facts and truth, which would lead them to a right conclusion.

He asked them point-blank whether they had chosen to harden their hearts as the opinionated Pharisees had. The rest of the scripture is a memory aid to remind them of the lessons in law he had taught them. For example, the law says that you see and hear in heaven as clearly or unclearly as you do here on earth. It's a matter of degree and kind. Unless you use your eyes and ears to see and hear with, you condemn yourself to remaining blind and deaf to truth.

Inductive reasoning looks down into self and the world, but deductive reasoning looks up to law and the Light. If you depend on inductive reasoning, based on the world mind, you won't be able to remember what you think you know. People lose their memory because they do not use wisdom-based logic. Deductive reasoning depends on and draws from the universal truth inherently present in the Light. People with a memory like a proverbial elephant have had logic-based mental training.

A hard head guarantees a hard heart. Many of the Pharisees willfully misunderstood Jesus; they feared the change he represented and the threat to their authority and status. Willful misunderstanding eventually leads to ignorance and the mind-wipe of senility. It may take several lives to get there, but the result is inevitable.

"When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven. And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?" – Mark 8:19-21.

What is the symbolic meaning of the five loaves for the 5,000? Five is the number that represents freedom of choice under law. Five thousand is the number that represents eternal life and cosmic consciousness. The twelve baskets represent the twelve tribes.

Seven loaves fed the 4,000. Seven represents the Seven Degrees of initiation. Four thousand symbolizes having paid one's soul debts and living a life of service to God and your fellow man. The seven baskets of leftover fragments placed each disciple in his own proper degree.

In total, 9,000 people were fed, which symbolizes the Brotherhood of Man under God. After you finish paying your soul debts to the law, you live a life of service because no other way of living suits the fearless heart of an ascended soul. Twelve plus seven baskets left over to share equals nineteen, the number symbolizing the "awakening of the dead."

The bread represents the circumcised heart, a heart from which every taint has been cleansed, a purified heart, mind and soul. Jesus wanted them to understand that he had leavened them and they were the bread. Because you follow him, you have been leavened also. Leaven works in the silence with barely a whisper as the dough rises. It's a process that takes some time, not instantaneous. From the first instant your soul cleaved to the Lord, his leaven entered you, his love began to possess you. One day, it will finally be enough. You will become the bread through which he feeds the younger souls.

Today, his love is working through you, according to your degree and kind. Each of you is a representative of one of the twelve tribes, the twelve archetypal personality types on earth. You teach others every moment of your day, with every interaction. Make Christed love your chief motivator and you will have no need to worry about whether you are doing a good job. Lay down the specious reasoning of the little me in favor of the Mind that was in Christ Jesus. This is your perfect safety and security.

Today, with this marvelous release of the healing power of love, every "dead" or hardened heart that calls on Christ is now made flexible, supple, fearless, and alive to Light. Right now, this very moment, visualize the face of your loved one who needs healing. Look in the mirror and see your own face, too, because charity, which is a phase of love, begins at home. Go ahead, do it. See them as being perfect before God. Imagine yourself there also.

So, in closing, we would ask, Israel, what does your God require of you? Fear of the Lord is a state of profoundly respectful awe, in which the soul has no power save to bow, to bend the knees of the heart and to worship in joy. You may choose to serve Him, or to fear the world, feeling anxiety and apprehension. You may choose one or the other, but not both.

God is your only sure safety and security in an increasingly violent world. Cling to Him. Love Him. Worship the Light He represents. Use Joshua's vow:

"Fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." – Joshua 24:14-15.

When you truly fear the Lord in trembling and awe of His Almighty Power and Light, you will never again fear the world as you have done in the past. You will have ceased to worship the strange gods you found there and stop pandering to the self of appetitive soul. Then the Master, the perfect Lamb of God, shall call you to stand with him on the Sea of Glass:

"And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God." – Revelation 15:2. Glory, glory, glory, Lord God Almighty. How we praise Thee. Amen!

Preface by Linda Mihalic

Etymology of mystic: Old French mistique, spiritually allegorical, pertaining to mysteries of faith, from Latin mysticus, from Greek mystikos secret, mystic, from mystes one who has been initiated.

The Mystic is the fourth Degree of Ascension. From Neophyte to Christos, an initiatory degree. is a step or stage in a process, in an ascending or descending scale, a relative condition or state of being. The degree is the relative intensity, extent, measure or amount of a quality, attribute or action.

Thyatira: The Mystic's Church

And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. – Revelation 2:18-29.
