Edna Lister’s Lectures 1946
Edna Lister lecture outline; Friday March 15, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Scripture: Luke 8:42-48.
“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” — Luke 8:43-48.

Edna Lister lecture outline; Friday March 22, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Topic: Healing. Scriptures: 2 Kings 3:15-18, Malachi 3:10.
“And it came to pass … that the hand of the Lord came upon [Elisha]. And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. And this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.” — 2 Kings 3:15-18. “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” — Malachi 3:10.
To achieve success in healing of body, mind or affairs, you must first prepare room to receive the healing miracle, so you “dig a ditch” figuratively. Then you must give of unquenchable love and unconquerable faith to open the windows of heaven. God is One: God is the one Mind, the one Substance and the one Power everywhere evenly present and available to you for all miracles. You may partake of all that God is and has, and you must ascend so high in consciousness in knowing this that nothing cam move you from this stand-point of faith.
Five steps take you from the Light that God is to the form that you are. First, everything exists as a concept within the Mind of God. Second, the concept in God’s Mind becomes an idea in man’s mind.
Third, thought, which is the process of Mind in action through your mind, uses the mental faculties, such as logic, reason, discernment, discrimination, and discretion to formulate a plan for creation of what you desire.
The spoken Word brings substance into form, so using thought, you form words in sentences to speak the Word. This is how Light proceeds from the invisible into visibility, the expression in form, as trees, plants, vegetables and fruit, creatures, creators and the whole universe.
God has created you to be a creator with Him, and He has given you the substance to use in creation. You can create nothing lasting if you wobble and waver in doubt and fear.
God has sent you into form to learn how to use your individual mind to access the mind that was in Christ Jesus, i.e., His Mind. Your task is to retrain your individual mind into thinking only the Godlike thoughts of the Good, to remember always that you have the mind of Christ, which is God’s.
You must nourish and sustain every creation by love, to become an even greater creator. Hour by hour, you achieve success in healing through rightly using your desire, thinking, and imagination.
Edna Lister lecture outline; Friday March 1, 8, 15, 22, 28, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Scripture: Genesis 1:
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
“And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
“And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Genesis 1. “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2:1-3.

The Wheel of Ezekiel: Four Quarters
Edna Lister lecture outline; Friday April 5, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Scripture: Ezekiel 1.
“Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity, The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him. And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the color of burnished brass. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went. As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. 1:15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the color of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the color of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above. And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. 1:26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” Ezekiel 1.

Edna Lister lecture outline for Buffalo, New York; Monday April 22, 1946, Seattle, Washington. Scripture: Matthew 22:32-40.
“But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” — Matthew 22:32-40.
Study Matthew 22:32-40 in zeal and fervency. Pray for Light on these two laws, and use them. The “works” you perform are the proof of your obedience to the first commandment, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” When you give love, you apply all law in a practical way. You pay your soul debts by obeying this commandment.
“Love thy neighbor as thyself” refers to confidence in your own ability. Give your neighbor the same credit you give yourself, which is putting the Golden Rule to work for you.
Ponder on love. Make your life perfection in the release of love. Find other love-ideas. Study our Declaration of Unquenchable Love. Make it your goal in daily living. This is your full ascension work. Love until you become unquenchable love.
Unquenchable Love
Love is a flame and fire that burns ever. Love cannot be quenched. Love cannot be put out. Love is. True love needs no assurances. True love knows itself and its own.
Love is the fire that enthuses. Love is a fire that ever burns higher, always upward. True love is the end as well as the beginning. True love feeds upon itself and not upon the loved one.
True love magnifies the one whom it loves. Love asks no favors and gives all. Love’s strength lies in its self-sustaining ability. Love’s keynote is a deep, abiding devotion to the one who is loved.
True love burns steadfast under all conditions, joy or sorrow, separation or unity. True love counts no effort too great nor too small, and no task too hard nor too long.
True love is lifting, opens all doors and is all-compelling in its power to unite. True love is never conscious of giving but like sunshine shares itself with all. True love withstands all separation and lives forever.
— Edna Lister, 1939
Edna Lister speech outline; Tuesday July 9, 1946, International New Thought Alliance 49th Congress, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Scriptures: John 8:12, Matthew 6:33, Matthew 5:25, John 21:22, John 12:32.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33. I seek first the kingdom of God. I stand where I am and a line of Light upholds me.
“Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him.” — Matthew 5:25. I agree and adjust to life with the laws of God. I agree with God that this is good. I adjust to man, giving other the first word, saying, “You are right. I see how that is true for you.”
“What is that to thee? Follow thou me.” — John 21:22. I must see perfection in my own self and in others, and pull out my own porcupine quills of blame and judgment. You can afford no enemies or adversaries. Instead, declare, “Thou preparest a table before me in the midst of my loved ones.”
“I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” — John 12:32. You move through transformation into transfiguration and ascension into a higher state of consciousness. “I am transformed. I am transfigured. I am now ascended. Light fills me. My body is now Light. I am the Light of my world.”
Basic Principles of Christianity
Edna Lister lecture outline; Sunday evening September 22, 1946, Seattle, Washington. Scripture: Romans 8:16-29.
From the savage to the highest intellectual type, humanity expresses aspiration toward something greater than the self. The savage gives power to a stone idol made in his own image and likeness. The man who is just one step from the creature stage of consciousness, also makes a god in his own image and likeness. Thus, his god will not need to be too perfect.
When you find that toward which you aspire, you pay devotion to it and offer worship of it. Aspiration means “to aspire, to desire earnestly.” Devotion means that you may consecrate yourself to it, to dedicate your life to it. Thus, loyalty must be part of your aspiration. You give up your life to that which tou worship. Worship means “to pay homage” to or “adoration of.”
These are the foundation principles of all religions and the religious life. Since everyone starts from the same basic principles and premises, we each must seek further to discern why our results have differed through the ages. Your use and application of these fundamental principles determines the quality and quantity of your results.
Edna Lister lecture outline; Tuesday September 24 and October 1, 1946, Tacoma, Washington.
Light is the first Absolute Principle, the One. Light is the only Reality, the only Mind, the only Substance, the only Power; all else is a mere appearance of the One Light. Principle is the absolute, universal, unchangeable, undeviating, immutable foundation upon which all universes are based and established. The One IS the only reality and the One BECOMES the appearance of the Many.
The first three emanations of Light are absolute principles: Wisdom, which is the Mind that expresses as the Father; Love, which is the Substance that expresses as the Mother; and the Word of Power, the Christ Principle, which expresses as the Son.
Wisdom is the Mind that thinks, plans and builds the molds for ideas as forms. Love is the Substance that nourishes, sustains, and heals all things in form, and is also the devouring death ray, which dissolves worn out forms and restores the substance for a new purpose. The Christ principle is the Logos, the Word of Power that when spoken becomes the Light-as-energy, the Son who personifies selflessness and compassion in action beginning as the harmony of the Light, becoming the equilibrium of Power expressed as energy, and ending as balance in action, in that order.
These three, acting AS ONE — Mind, Substance, and Power — descend in their rates of vibration to become the four elements — Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. This is the language we use to explain the metaphysical “science of Creation” that is so difficult of definition.
In order to better understand God’s Creation, we must understand the meaning of the prefix “omni-”: “Universally; in all ways, in all places, and of all things.” Mind is omniscient as Father Wisdom in all ways. Substance is omnipresent as Mother Love in all places. Power is omnipotent: of all things.
Omniscience is all-knowing Wisdom-as-Mind in all ways of all creation, all-knowing Mind through all places of all creation, and all-knowing Mind as all creation, conscious or unconscious.
Omnipresence is all Love-as-Substance present in all ways and all places of all creation, all Love-Substance present through all unconscious things, and all Love-Substance present as all conscious beings.
Omnipotence is all powerful as the Christ-Logos in all ways of all creation, all powerful in all places of all creation, all powerful through all unconscious things and all powerful as all conscious beings.
Absolute principle is the thing-in-itself (in Kant’s philosophy), the noumenon 1 (Ancient Greek νοούμενον), “independent of the mind, as opposed to a phenomenon”; in other words, an object of a purely intellectual intuition, not a perception of the physical senses.
Relative law is absolute principle abstracted into primary law in action, working in the realm of Becoming, of Doing, whether in the metaphysical or physical realm.
Three postulates form the basis of the primary laws of action: First, the Being of an everywhere evenly present God in all, through all and AS ALL. Second, everything is NOW GOOD after its degree and kind. Third, (a) To the Oversoul and rational aspects of soul has been given the power of conscious direction and control (not to the appetitive or impulsive aspects of soul). (b) To substance in an unconscious state has been given the power of becoming.
The emanations of Light as Mind, Substance and Power, are absolute principles; as absolute principles, they are unchangeable primary laws. Secondary laws are relative and subject to change to suit the state of individual intelligence and the state of intelligent civilizations. Relative laws may be modified and diluted to suit various states of developed consciousness. Laws on earth tend to be formulas stated to cover present needs. Primary laws are the first rank in a series of original laws formulated to cover the needs of consciousness. Secondary laws are subject to change as the need arises.
Acceptance: Perception and Apperception
Edna Lister lecture outline; Friday September 27, 1946 and March 25, 1956, Tacoma, Washington.
Spirit, soul, and body provide three ways of perceiving or seeing. Apperception is seeing with the mind, a “mental” seeing. The mind’s eye is the mystic eye of the seer, sage and oracle, the vision of prophecy.
“I [John] was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day” refers to individual mind. The body perceives by induction through the five physical senses, seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and tasting.
You hear with your ears, but you listen to God with your brain cells. You combine what you hear and listen to into appreception, which is an idea that you can truly know instead of believing ir because you were told it is so. What you induct through your mental and soul faculties you may then synthesize into a higher apperception. Apperception then describes a state of knowing as soul knows.
It’s a long path, this climb from creature to creator consciousness, with many drab spaces between the highlights. “The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” — Revelation 1:20.
The Sacrament of Baptism: Water and Fire
Edna Lister lecture outline; Saturday September 28, 1946, Tacoma, Washington.
Sacraments are ordinances, authoritative directions. Sacraments are generally regarded as the decrees of authority because, having undergone the truth of the mystery the sacrament teaches, the soul is then able to speak from experience, having the authority to do so.
Baptism is the first sacrament of religion in the churches. The original sacraments numbered seven: They are Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist (Communion), Penance (Repentance), Communion for the dying, Ordination (Holy Orders) and Matrimony.
Baptism is the most necessary sacrament, whether it is by sprinkling, dipping, or full immersion. Communion in some form has been considered an absolute essential in all religions.
We recognize two baptisms, by water and by fire, or the Holy Ghost. Baptism by Water represents repentance and the letting go of the past. Baptism by Fire symbolizes remission, re-missioning in which we receive orders to preach and to teach.
Repentance means “remorse or contrition for past conduct or sin; to go back to a former state,” and the destination is to our “penthouse” of soul, our tower room of Christed consciousness. Remission is to return to our original mission as a son or daughter of God.
Thus, we view sacraments as ordinances, authoritative decrees and directions that are necessary to keep the soul’s heart and mind healthy.
The Sacrament of Confirmation: Illumination
Edna Lister lecture outline; Sunday evening October 6, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Scripture: John 1:32-34.
“And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.” — John 1:32-34.
The sign by which we may know that a teacher is authentic and of God is whether his works follow his words. The true teacher devotes himself to be and to do the right and good.
For the sacrament of baptism, you are given sponsors. For the sacrament of confirmation, you yourself become personally responsible. During a baptism, the embodied soul is sprinkled or immersed in water, symbolizing Jesus’ experience in the Jordan River with John. The Holy Ghost descends as a dove and the Holy Spirit as fiery clouds of glory.
Confirmation is an acknowledgment of Light. The confirmation of Light is found in the first forty-nine years of life, in seven times seven stages of illumination as the Light of our Oversoul Star descends. During the first seven years of life, Light descends the rod of Power, the sponsored child’s spine. During the second seven years, until the age of fourteen, the Light, which had descended to the sacrum, ascends the spine again.
During the third period from age fourteen to twenty-one, the Light again descends the spine to water the Land of Egypt, everything below the diaphragm. This is the zenith of physical fertility. In the fourth period, from age twenty-one to twenty-eight, the Light again rises to the crown, and the individual experiences full maturity. Ideally, the soul moves up on their accomplishments and outer success.
In the fifth period, from age twenty-eight to thirty-five, the Light again descends the spine and the soul ascends in inner success. During the sixth period, between age thirty-five and forty-two, the Light again ascends to bring full illumination. In the seventh period, between age forty-two and forty-nine, ideally the soul experiences the completion of God consciousness, with the full ascension of the soul.
While baptism serves to open the soul to the influx of Light, confirmation is supposed to remind the soul if the spiritual dimension of life on earth. We all need to be reminded that we are personally responsible and that Light is our true nature.
Between the ages of seven and fourteen, while the Light is moving up the spine, it serves to cause a personal attitude toward life. It is an awakening of consciousness to life outside the immediate family group. During this period, the embodied soul becomes aware of its relationship to life through its own outer actions and those of others. This opens the ways to a greater understanding of life. The universal questions of this period in life include: What is my place in life? How am I to act? What am I to do? As the soul accepts these social conventions, he or she becomes a moral member of society.
If the soul makes a new covenant with God at the confirmation, he or she will also make new vows. The soul will experience new devotion to service, new surrender to God and new responsibility toward God and humanity. If the soul is enthralled with its possessions and the affairs of the creature self, no Light from the Oversoul Star can descend or penetrate the consciousness. No depth of character develops, and the embodied soul remains shallowly aware only of the self. Creature consciousness is in love with the sound of its own voice and becomes a loudspeaker of self, with self always on parade. Soul consciousness is enthralled with God. From the first confirmation of Light, such a soul begins building its body of star dust, made of its own share of Light. Such a soul is a “radiant one.”
Foundation Principles: Emanations

Edna Lister lecture outline; Sunday evening October 20, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Scriptures: Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16.
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” — Matthew 26:26-29.
“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” — 1 Corinthians 10:16.
Communion means sharing or participating in a fellowship. The first communion took place at the Last Supper, the Passover Seder, near the spring equinox, just before Easter. The last supper, also known as the Lord’s Supper, commemorates the Passover. In the tenth plague on Egypt, the angel of death passed over the land, slaying the firstborn of every house whose doorposts and lintel were not marked with the blood of a lamb. All these events fall under the law of Resurrection, especially Jesus’ serving the bread and wine at the last supper. The original Catholic communion service involves the transubstantiation, which means to change substance from one form to another, the conversion of a whole substance.
Alchemy is the art of using transmutation to change base metals into gold. You practice an alchemy of the soul to transmute the darkness of self into the Light and gold of Spirit. In physical transubstantiation, you may raise and expand a rate of vibration or lower and contract a vibration. By passing an electrical current through a substance, you may change its form.
Even if a clergyman is an agnostic, devoted to evil or half-and-half, even if he disbelieves in transubstantiation himself, the Light transmutes or transforms the elements of the communion without changing its appearance. Light can also lift and transform the clergyman, if you declare it so. Although he may descend again, while he serves on the altar, he is raised in consciousness as the Light lifts him. He may go repeatedly, for the Gates of Light are always open. Yet each time he is raised higher.
Bread is the symbol of inspiration, and of the lungs that breathe. Bread is the divine substance made into "flesh," the "staff of life" bread. Wine represents blood, the third Emanation of the Son, the red ray. The white Light of the Christ, the universal Christ consciousness forms our blood. The embodied rational soul possesses and lives in the bloodstream. The Holy Communion occurs whenever you say grace at the table before meals. The element of communion can be as simple as a cup of tea or a glass of milk and a wafer, blessed and shared.

“Jesus Christ, whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you.” — 1 Peter 1:8-10.
“[God] Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” — Ephesians 1:9-13.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:8-10.
“For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.” — 2 Corinthians 7:8-10.
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 2:7-16.
A plan is a large scale map, “a scheme or arrangement, a design,” in this case, a design for living. You create a plan for any project. Salvation means “the saving of soul, deliverance, to preserve from, admission to heaven by Christ.”
“The Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” — Isaiah 7:14. This was the prophecy. Peter tells us that Jesus Christ, the end of our faith, whom we have not seen, is the salvation of our souls. Paul, writing in the Letter to Ephesians, tells us that we have heard the gospel of salvation, and that we receive grace through faith, which is a gift of God. In the Letters to Corinthians, he says that repentance leads to salvation, and the Spirit reveals the hidden wisdom mysteries.
To understand the Plan of Salvation, as described in these Scriptures, you must know the historical facts in the background. Two hundred-fifty thousand years ago, the fallen angels threw Terrah from its sign, Sagittarius, into an abyss bounded by a magnetic wall. “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.” — Revelation 12:7. It took 2,000 years to formulate a Plan of Salvation and to penetrate the dark magnetic wall. The plan was to return the planet to its original state and to save the fallen ones from their own evil.
Jesus the Christ incarnated 2,000 years ago as a critical step in the Plan of Salvation. Had he failed, all would have been lost. The twelve gates of ingress around the world were closed, with no Light coming through them. He brought the Light, but had to ascend completely to open the Gates of Light. His death was the only sacrifice great enough to do this. He could have saved himself, but had to sacrifice his own life willingly. Thus, Christ opened the Gates, which have remained open by the prayers of the Elect. The Elect are those who choose to live by and to obey the laws of the Christed ones.
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” — Matthew 25:40.
“Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." — Matthew 5:19.
"Abstain from all appearance of evil.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:22.

“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.“ — Matthew 24:27.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever. And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” — Revelation 22.
In every age, one great soul comes to spread a new advanced message. We call this person an avatar or a messiah. In the Age of Pisces, the sign of the fishes, the fish was the symbol of early Christianity. Now we are entering the Age of Aquarius, the Water-bearer, a sign of air. Every age opens in two parts. First comes the one who ushers in a preparatory period. Then comes the one who opens the true vibration, the way-shower. This describes John the Baptist and Jesus, respectively. Today, as always, we deal with the known and the unknown. A messiah sets the vibration for the needed unknown to be released to become the known. Yesterday’s science fiction becomes tomorrow’s science fact.
When a soul comes to earth, it must breathe itself into its new body. When a messiah comes to earth, he must breathe himself into a body of flesh as any other embodied soul. A soul’s second coming is conversion or Rebirth, to be born again. The second coming for a messiah takes place in the minds of men, who may perceive him as Adam and Eve saw the Lord, walking in the Garden. A messiah must arrive in the minds of men to raise the vibration to spiritual seeing.” We see spiritually when we walk in bodies made of star dust.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about Jesus coming again in the flesh. It says that he will come as “a thief in the night,” as “lightning from east to west,” and he said, “I come quickly.” Jesus said, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” — Matthew 28:20. How do you use this information?
Surrender to God to be the servant of all the Power, and remember that you shall do all the works that he has done and great works than these. You are a creator of glory and life, dwelling in a body of star dust. This leads to triumphant living.

“John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” — John 1:29.
“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.” — Revelation 5:9-12.
“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thy judgments are made manifest.” — Revelation 15:3-4.
John the Baptist cried, “Behold! The Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world,” as he saw Jesus walking toward him in person. In the beginning, man fell from his high estate of oneness with God in the Light. This Fall of Man introduced the idea of separation. At first, our new and heavy bodies held us in a dreamlike state. Humankind was dazed, with no conscious identity. They took pleasure as a body.
Today, humanity remains ego-centered and selfish. People are always talking about me, my and mine, taking self out and examining it in public. “I feel good. I feel bad. I am doing this. I am doing that.” Self always pushes to take credit. Soul examination requires conducting an inventory self’s limitations in the silence, alone with God.
Christ has redeemed us by his sacrifice of flesh and blood. Blood represents the red ray of energy, the Father and Mother rays mingled as one in the Son, the Christ Light. With the Christ Light permeating you, your flesh becomes incorruptible substance. For example, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 2:5. This verse refers also to the original Substance and Power of which all things are made.
The blood of the Lamb is the white Light of the Christ as the red energy that purifies your bloodstream when its Power is stepped down to your body’s degree and kind. The Song of the Lamb, “Holy, Holy, Holy,” makes you one with him. The Master is still the Lamb of God. He is still washing away our sins. Our Lord still tells us, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” — Matthew 28:20. We know this is true because whenever we seek him, we find him where he is, and he is forever merely a breath away. Praise the Source of Light as you are bathed in the white Light of the Christ, which is the blood of the Lamb.
Edna Lister lecture outline; Sunday evening December 15, 1946, Tacoma, Washington. Scriptures: Matthew 6:33, Luke 12:32.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33. This law obviously means us, because it begins with “Seek ye.” Immediately it goes on to say that we must seek the kingdom and righteousness. The reward for seeking first the kingdom is that “all these things shall be added.” Three words, seek, added and all, are keys.
Seeking the kingdom first means right now and in your every moment of need. You find everything that you need, added and multiplied, with no division or subtraction. “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” — Luke 12:32. You need not accept substitutes from the world when God will give you what is real.
