Life is More Than Existing
Edna Lister outline, January 6, 1970, Tacoma, WA
Faith is our live wire of contact with God. Life is a gift of God. I do not live life; life lives as me and through me. I am a carrier of life.
God cannot live in just one drop of rain, one bird, one tree, or one flower. It takes the whole of nature to hold just a fraction of God. All of God did not appear in just the one life of Jesus. It takes all of us to follow and let Him live through and as us.
At night, when you lay your “dead tired” body down to sleep, the soul goes traveling. In the morning, you awaken in the body, refreshed and live with new life, which proves that you can be “raised from the dead.”
Faith is your direct contact with eternity. You can always talk to God just like making a phone call.
We must learn to “raise the dead” at night before bedtime, “as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness.” Declare: “I rejoice that I return each morning with full comprehension!”
From Weakness Into Strength
Edna Lister outline, February 2, 1970, Tacoma, WA
God created you and I with the Idea that we function as extensions of His divine Mind when He said, “Let there be Light!” Mind, as Spirit, operates through the individual’s superconscious mind, conscious mind and subconscious mind, and through the soul.
We live life in a threefold consciousness with mental, emotional and physical dimensions, which are always permeating our awareness. Mind uses desire, thinking and imagination to create. Mind is the power of, the ruler of desire, thinking and imagination.
When we harness the power of these three faculties, which we call the three tools of the Creator, and direct and control them until they are all going in one direction, we call the result “unconquerable faith.”
What are the requirements for harnessing and using these tools? First is our constant declaration of “Let there be Light!” We must accompany this with an unwavering visualization of a picture of our desire, which we have meticulously planned through thinking.
Then we must hold that picture in mind while we stand unwavering and steadfastly beholding the Face of God until the present limitation is transformed from weakness into strength, from darkness into Light. And “it shall come to pass” that we shall know the triumph of Resurrection and Ascension into the Light!
Laws for the Good Life
Edna Lister transcript, Ruth Collord, scribe, February 19, 1970, Tacoma, WA
Science and religion are one; they are two names for God in action. We measure religion by the words it uses and by the degree and kind of devotion it requires of us. We measure science by proven principles, the results of which can be measured by machines or instruments. The little-understood phenomenon of religion, practiced in a high way, is using only pure words on the outer. You can have taints in your heart and still be devoted to God. Yet you cannot have a complete devotion to God, then go out and mistreat your neighbor or speak idle words.
With the practical scientific method, we can measure what science gives us for miracles. A miracle is an acceleration of scientific laws with devotional prayers “about” and “how” it will come. You must stand as firmly on knowing what your result will be as does a mathematician on the proof of a theorem. You must live by the mathematical exactitude of divine law to pay your debts to God.
God is everywhere evenly present and available as the One Power, the One Substance, the One Mind, the One Source, the one set of principles. We can have no true identity except in the religious phase, which is divine Mind, the One Source for all. We must have this identity with divine Mind to have security within an ever-changing world. There is still only One God overall, no matter what name we give the Godhead. God created all of this original Light, and the Light is as important now as it was before the seven great Days of Manifestation ever began.
When you pray and say, “in His name,” then according to your words, you are acting in faith as a creator. This is acting according to your identity as a part of the whole. Science says that the body, which is particles called life sparks, as mass, may be accelerated to become light. The very breath you draw is the original Breath of God. You must have burning desire, thoughts that are ideal, constant, and permanent, and a vivid imagination.
The Sermon on the Mount gives us an outline for a solid, practical religious life when we practice it. However, you must apply its principles as a part of your very being and identity. A Computer Mind created us. We are not the totality of God; that would be impossible. We have access to all principles, potentialities, attributes and qualities for living, yet we are only a part of God, not all. There is no such thing as free will, only freedom to choose, free choice. We use wisdom as a faculty that we call will.
Initiation is required of those who wish to know inner, divine heavenly secrets and to progress in the ascension of consciousness. Initiations are part of our daily life. We take them where we are as we go about our daily living. We may entertain no evil, darkness or anything unlike God. For instance, when another calls you names, you can respond, “Do you know how beautiful you are, and how I love you?” Afterward you can say, “It never happened” to the unpleasant moments. This will be the truth, for only Light can happen to you.
Many devoted souls work on the other side at night. We are taken to temples for study, and to work with those in universal service whom death has taken from their bodies on earth. We all share this work. Such soul flights are so natural. Anyone can take them, but we may have no negatives or take it to the self. If you believe what the newspapers say, the “bad” news can keep you from recording the beauties of your night life. Yet you must maintain your silence about your inner soul life.
All your thoughts, emotions, reactions and imaginings have metaphysical correspondences in the body. Every decision begins with your creative tools, desire, thinking, and imagination. You must direct and control them and their action within you and how you apply them. To do so you must move up into soul consciousness, to “seeing” and “hearing,” which when combined, form knowing. You must apply your faculties to know.
Every room a house is equipped with electric light; how do you determine how much light you need in each room? God has wired you for power also. The brain is a computer for contact with the potentials of God. The aggregate number of your developed brain cells sets your number of watts for divine illumination. You can contact all the potentialities of God. When you ask the question of your computer mind, the answer returns in a flash. You can call upon divine Mind for all your needs. You “receive” or “get” according to your practical living, which includes your obedience to divine laws.
Your Aura of Lights and Colors
Edna Lister transcript, Ruth Collord, scribe, February 19, 1970, Tacoma, WA
Divine Mind directs and controls the soul and all Creation through the fundamental principles of Light, Number, Color, Tone, and Form (Name), by which it lowers the vibration of Light, condensing it into substance in successively denser stages until it reaches the point at which we can recognize it as form. Our alphabet has twenty-six letters, and our numerical system is base-ten, which is all the scientists have to work with. Mystically, we now that straight lines in numbers or letters, represent the masculine aspect, while the curved lines represent the feminine.
Everything has color, and everything has an aura of color, which is not the same as the magnetic fields that surround everything. Every rainbow, whether in a lawn-sprinkler or the sky, comes in triplicate. You can see them if you learn how to focus your vision properly and look for them. The colors are in the atmosphere. Your eyes are the lenses you use to see them.
The universal Light goes before you, from the third mystic eye in your forehead, and you focus from the inner see an aura. For instance, you do not look at the person when you focus vision to see the colors of their aura; you look to the left, right, and above them and see with your peripheral vision. You create your own personal aura by the color and tone of your thinking, emotions, and use of imagination, and your aura changes as you do mentally and emotionally.
Blue represents love and compassion, the Mother principle, the feminine aspect of the Source, which says, “Come.” Blue appears as a thin outline sheath of love around the whole body, feet to crown.
Yellow represents wisdom, the Father principle, the masculine aspect of the Source, which says, “Hold.” Yellow rises from the spleen and liver, and crosses at the breast (lower sternum) to arc up around the tips of the shoulders to above the head. Yellow’s track to and from the organs must be flexible and flowing to spread throughout the body.
Rose represents the determination to uphold honor, which says only, “I am, I can, I do,” without excuses or alibis. To say, “I can,” when soul is in charge, makes it a statement of determination. “I can” is a misuse of the Word when used by self as an expression of self-will. “I will” precipitates all your soul debts associated with the subject you are referring to. “I won’t” is open defiance that attracts every similar negative vibration. “I will” and “I won’t” are words “sweet on your lips, but bitter in your belly” (Revelation 10:9).
We each have a spiritual receiving set that permits us to tune in on the world or the universe. When an outside influence says, “You can’t,” you usually think, “You think so?” in defiance. Be quiet and silently say, “I am. I can. I do,” and do it “quickly whilst thou art in the ways with him.” If another calls you names, say to yourself, “I am honor, loyalty and integrity,” for God created you under those principles.
Rose rises from the heart and thymus, next to yellow, with green above it, and encompasses the shoulders and head, above the yellow ray. When you plan to study and are determined, the rose descends.
Green represents growth and expansion to loyalty. Green rises from the stomach to under the scapula (collar bones) and rises over the rose ray above the head.
Orchid represents joy and happiness, the exercise of which which preserves integrity. Orchid rises from the lungs and circles outside the green ray.
Rose-violet represents comprehension through praise and sacrifice. Rose-violet is rooted in the sacrum, and is meant to awaken the sacrum; the rose-violet extends outside all previous colors.
Rose-purple represents devotion, which confers invisibility; it is the ray of protection. Rose-purple, like the blue, encircles the body outside all other rays. The aura of a truly devotional soul extends from three to twelve feet from the body.
The universal aura is the sphere of Light around you, which becomes yours as you pray. You are born protected with the blue sheath closely contours the whole body, from head to feet. As soon as the soul takes charge of the two cells of life (sperm and ovum), the developing fetus is enfolded in the blue ray, which does not leave or move. However, if a soul shows no love at all the blue ray can collapse, leaving him unprotected. If you know someone who is always being “hurt,” picture a blue sheath surrounding him.
To read another’s aura (you are not able to read your own): begin on the right side. If the yellow ray is not phased with purple but is a straight line from the spleen, the person is irritated. On the left side: If Wisdom yellow is a bulge but fades out, it indicates high self-esteem and self-indulgence, not practicing wisdom.
You affect your aura with your thoughts, emotions and pictures of imagination, your three creative tools. If you are “dead tired” when you retire at night, you must reconnect yourself. Stretch your arms up, breathe, and ask for atomic breath to inflate you, for the Light to come through to fill your aura with power, glory, and life.
Breath must inflate every color before it inflates the whole aura. “Let the full Light-as-Power and the Glory of All fill me with Light, number, color, tone and name. Every soul is given unique number and name. Although you may have disobeyed the law, you still always name yourself Good. “I AM Light! and I AM Good!” Declare the Light, the Light turns on, and all darkness disappears. Do this also for your family and friends.
Divine Mind uses the Oversoul, which directs the rational soul’s use of the faculties. Egoic soul, in turn, must direct and control the subsoul “brain” at the solar plexus, the epigastric nerve center. Oversoul has a portion that it always directs to control subsoul, when you let it. You are one individual working in three phases of mind for Divine Mind to use.
Metaphysics refers to the three soul phases as portions of mind: superconscious mind, conscious mind, and subconscious mind. Divine Mind functions in the blue Oversoul Star, which descends to just above the crown of your head. Oversoul holds your complete soul Identity. There are thousands of grades and classes on the way to heaven, and each soul goes at his or her preferred pace. Where they are is right for them, if not for you, and where they are is none of your concern. To progress on the Via Christa, attend to the details of your own life, which will garner you more credits in heaven. Entertain no pride in self or your accomplishments. Lift every hint of pride and sublimate it into the entrée to a new “presence” of God. Find a point of praise in all contacts, which will help you to open brain cells and soul records. Look for practical ways to better live by the divine principles.
Inflate your aura, go out on a cloud, and you may be taken on a soul flight. “Let the Light go through me to fill everything I am doing, every place I am going.” Fill everything with Light. This will build rays of repulsion that protect. Treat in this manner for all people; fill every building in every city. God must use us to apply the limitless Power to do the work! Let the Light do the work!
God has given us our creative tools—desire, thinking and imagination—for one reason, to be perfect instruments for Light’s use! Follow the law, declaring, “This is Good! Let there be Light!” and agree with any and all adversaries.
Metaphysical Sources of Physical Ills
Edna Lister transcript, Ruth Collord, scribe, March 12, 1970, Tacoma, WA
| Brain: Receptivity, listening |
The brain symbolizes mental power and comprehension. We hear sounds; we listen with our brain cells. Traits that lead to illness: Any misuse of mind. An aggressive egotistical complex causes the brain to atrophy, or harden {sclerosis}; self-pity causes the brain to liquify, to soften {Alzheimer’s}. Being critical of others, self-will, self-pity, know-it all, fault-finding, blame, a closed mind. |
||
| Lungs: Inspiration | The lungs symbolize the soul’s aspiration: Traits that lead to illness: Selfishness, lukewarmness, indifference. A guilt complex covers self-aggrandizement; possessive demands result in TB, asthma, lung diseases. |
||
| Heart: Love, compassion | The heart is the body’s engine, its action enables life. Traits that lead to illness: Hatred, jealousy, envy, revenge motive: All these affect the heart, the veins and arteries, the entire circulatory system. The first effect is in the walls of the arteries. |
||
| Stomach: Acceptance, assimilation |
The stomach requires that we accept and assimilate ideas and food. The stomach is allied with the heart and lungs. Traits that lead to illness: Procrastination, escape complex, evasion of duty (to run or hide from life), giving with a grudge, repudiation of responsibility causes ulcers and indigestion of food and repudiation of new ideas. |
||
| Gall Bladder: Loving kindness |
The gall bladder symbolizes the soul’s capacity for gentle, loving kindness. It sets the timing for assimilation among the stomach, heart and lungs. Traits that lead to illness: bitterness, harshness to blame self and others. |
||
| Liver: Sincerity and discretion |
The liver symbolizes “Agree with thine adversary quickly.” Agree with God; adust to man. The liver affects the lymph system first, then the blood. Traits that lead to illness: Insincerity, arguing, lies; self-justification and self-explanation affect the liver, also an “I disagree on principle” attitude. |
||
| Spleen: Judgment, discrimination |
The spleen represents good udgment and strangth in a crisis. Adrenaline flows under need for action and may cause the spleen to add its contents to the bloodstream. The liver, spleen and gall bladder work as one; jar one from its proper timing and the bloodstream, nerves, etc., shift off-balance. Keep the body in “time” with the Light of God. Traits that lead to illness: self-justification, excuses, alibis; irritation, impatience. |
||
| Kidneys: Mental purity |
The kidneys symbolize mental purity and thinking. Emotions knock the body off-balance chemically. Fear comes from focusing on the world. Build heavenly pictures. See the “lion lying down with the lamb.” Have compassion for others’ losses. Surround “darkness” with a shaft of fire. Traits that lead to illness: impure thoughts, dark imagination, negative emotions, fear, self-delusion, blame self or others. |
||
| Bowels: Compassion, cooperation |
The bowels include the entire eliminative tract, from the mouth down. The bloodstream assimilates from the bowels. For healing, start with mastication; without proper chewing and salivation, you poison yourself. Traits that lead to illness: self-delusion, lying to self; belief in enemies; lack of compassion; blame, a callous attitude of “he made his bed,” or “she deserves it.” For healing, surrender to be the servant of all the Power, an ambassador in bonds of love for Christ. |
||
| Colon: Humility, modesty |
The seat of pride, the vampire of self. To let Light move through you is humility. Traits that lead to illness: Pride, arrogance; misuse of power; clinging to the past makes you a pillar of salt, creates a static colon, chronic constipation. Healing via, “Let go and let God with no thought to self.” |
||
| Bladder: Cleansing, purifying | The bladder will eliminate every toxin, if you keep it flushed with plenty of water daily. Two quarts are essential to eliminate impurities from the body, a little more purifies. Traits that lead to illness: Selfishness, self righteousness, self satisfaction, clouded vision; you must cleanse self to cleanse the whole body. |
||
| Bones: Stability, steadfastness | Traits that lead to illness: Indecisiveness, unstable, doubting, mental flip-flopping. Streamline your desires, thinking and imagination. |
||
| Muscles: Action, flexibility | The muscles are your action component, so remain flexible in mind, body and affairs. Traits that lead to illness: Stubbornness, martyrdom, self-pity, self-indulgence. |
||
| Nerves: Vision, imagination | Nerves provide spiritual and physical protection Traits that lead to illness: Continuous inner conflict, combativeness, ignores advice; “Leave me alone!” “I'll do it my way!” |
||
| Skin: Spiritual protection | Your words represent what you are; prayer and praise are twins that direct Light through every organ, especially the brain. When you speak idle words, then say, “I didn’t mean it that way,” you are lying to yourself. Traits that lead to illness: Reacts to lies, idle thoughts, idle words, curses. |

1 Your Body’s Many Cries For Water by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D https://tasteofhealth.net/tips-on-living-healthy-the-christian-way/your-bodies-many-cries-for-water
2 Nerves: Each nerve has a phosphorescent tip, like a match. As you say, “Let there be Light,” the lotus petals reach for Light.
