The Christian Platonist’s Good
By Linda Mihalic
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good.
–Genesis 1:1-4
And God saw that it was good.
–Genesis 1:10
“And God saw that it was good.”–Genesis 1:12
And God saw that it was good.
–Genesis 1:18
And God saw that it was good.
–Genesis 1:25
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
–Genesis 1:31
The greatest proclamation you can speak is This is good! Let there be Light!
God The One is the Good, which is Truth and Beauty. Your covenant with God is written in your soul:
This shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts.
–Jeremiah 31:33
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them.
–Hebrews 10:16
God as Consciousness Appears as Form is the first transcript of an Edna Lister lecture or sermon in our archive of her work. Its Platonic explanation of GOD AS ALL is astonishingly clear and concise. This is the point at which she started her ministry. We know that the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
but was Jesus of Nazareth, who became the Christ, the first visitation of the Word? No, but he is the greatest, and he will return as will his harbingers. By their works and their words, you shall know them.
