Energy

Energy is a dynamic quality; the capacity of acting or being active; a usually positive spiritual force; the vigorous exertion of power; a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change within the system and usually regarded as the capacity for doing work; usable power (such as heat or electricity), also the resources for producing such power.Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Energy derives from the Greek ἐνέργεια (energeia), meaning activity, action, operation, from energos active, working, from en at + ergon work, that which is wrought; business; action. Aristotle used energy with a sense of its being actual, real, and existent, as opposed to potential. The broader meaning of energy as power in English is first recorded in the 1660s. The scientific usage of energy dates from 1807.—Online Etymology Dictionary

“Energy is a condition that describes the capacity to do work.”—Aristotle

Energy, in physics, the capacity for doing work. It may exist in potential, kinetic, thermal, electrical, chemical, nuclear, or other various forms. There are, moreover, heat and work—i.e., energy in the process of transfer from one body to another. After it has been transferred, energy is always designated according to its nature. Hence, heat transferred may become thermal energy, while work done may manifest itself in the form of mechanical energy.
All forms of energy are associated with motion. For example, any given body has kinetic energy if it is in motion. A tensioned device such as a bow or spring, though at rest, has the potential for creating motion; it contains potential energy because of its configuration. Similarly, nuclear energy is potential energy because it results from the configuration of subatomic particles in the nucleus of an atom. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed but only changed from one form to another. This principle is known as the conservation of energy or the first law of thermodynamics.
—Encyclopaedia Britannica

Energy is the capacity for work or vigorous activity; vigor; power. Energy is relative and temporal, the result of absolute Power being exerted. Beware of conflating mere energy with its source in the absolute principle of Power.
All terrestrial life forms are based on energy conversions—you breathe, drink and eat your forms of fuel to release energy and to produce vitality within your body. Energy is life: You can live about three weeks without food, three days without water, but only three minutes without air. Unless you inhale sufficient Holy Breath in the air you breathe, by breathing deeply enough, you run a deficit energy budget, and the result is physical oxidation and aging.
In reality, you derive energy only from the One infinite and cosmic Power, which is transduced from its absolute potential state to become all subsequent forms of relative kinetic energy, in protons, subatomic particles, atoms, molecules, and cells. Thus, energy is Power that has been exerted. Energy is an abstract principle, and as a law of doing and of being. Kinetic energy includes all energy conversions, such as lightning, wind- or water-generated electricity, and fuels combustion (coal, gas, wood, etc.), including the possibility of abiotic oil

Edna Lister on Energy

An internal combustion engine uses gas, a steam engine uses steam, an electric motor uses electricity as its power source. God has designed your body to burn the fuel of spiritual energy, the cosmic rays—Light. If you use the worldly energy of human emotions, your vigor is gone.—Edna Lister, The Lord’s Prayer, September 26, 1934.

Fasting: Some believe that going without food makes the body more sensitive, but really, it is only more irritable. Consequently, negativity will seize the body if you are mentally and emotionally negative before or during your fast. True fasting must be the discontinuance of cheap mental and emotional fuels, which casts you into a den of thieves of energy. You must fast from negatives and whatever you have allowed to rob you of your innate divinity.—Edna Lister, The Lord’s Prayer, September 26, 1934.

The One Power operates through all unconscious things as energy.
God acts through the Logos, which becomes harmony, equilibrium, balance and all motion and action in the universe. Energy is relative power, the exercise of absolute Power as actual operation or activity. Energy, which describes the vigor or intensity of action, is kinetic power, Power actively exerted. Power moves as the Holy Breath, the Father-Mother as One or Holy Spirit, the universal Christ consciousness, the Christ principle, and the Holy Ghost to become the Christ life within man.
The Logos is the Source of all the life that you breathe. Knowledge of the Son as the red ray rightly names Jesus the Christ as the blood of the Lamb. Thus, certain dogmas declare that you cannot be saved, except by the blood of the Lamb. This really means that we have no life in us but through the red ray of energy, the Christ Emanation of Power moving through us.—Edna Lister, A Design for Ascension, 1941.

Criticism of self devitalizes you physically, and wastes the universal Power moving through you as energy.—Edna Lister, April 6, 1945.

Raise your arms and breathe the energy in the air! Keep your window of the soul (at the crown of your head) open continuously. When you close it, and fail to keep your consciousness raised, your vitality depletes immediately.—Edna Lister, June 30, 1945.

You must account for all idle words, actions, idle expenditures of energy, such as gossip, criticizing, and self-condemnation instead of proper repentance and lifting, surrender, giving up of self, in each day’s final judgment.—Edna Lister, July 17, 1945.

The fundamental principles of doing are Energy, Action, and Expression.—Edna Lister, May 16, 1946.

Your word, to stand, must be based on God as principle. You speak as a creator and God is the principle of the Logos or Word, the third emanation. The Logos concept in God’s Mind becomes the idea in your mind. Thought becomes logic, judgment and discrimination, which are of the Wisdom principle. Pondering, dreaming about and thinking about the idea is of the Love principle that sustains and nourishes. Speaking the idea is the Logos principle of Power. God as law is the Substance and Power that become physical substance and energy.—Edna Lister, Eternal Youth: The Seven Breaths, November 6, 1946.

Wisdom holds all the absolute and abstract principles of being. Love holds the absolute and abstract principles of righ action as doing. Power holds the abstract principles of the Son as personality. The primal absolute and abstract principles of being formed everything below the Source of All Life; before personality or form appeared, there was activity in the River of Life, which flows from the Throne of God in all directions.
Below, these abstract principles are relative laws of doing based in and upon truth. (Science recognizes two types of energy, potential and kinetic; potential is being and kinetic is doing.) While you cannot change abstract principles, you can modify or dilute them in declarations to suit the needs of a race or society, for civilization, ethics and all moral laws are based on truth. The Christ principle contains within itself everything below it. The blood of the Lamb is the red ray of the Christ principle as energy.—Edna Lister, May 26, 1947.

God’s Power is the heritage of all Christed Ones. We brought with us all the necessary powers of Mind to plan, and Power as the energy to execute the required actions.—Edna Lister, Power, Your Divine Inheritance, November 27, 1949.

Atoms exchange protons to generate energy. You explode atoms for energy and become tired and languid unless you refill your atomic structure with universal atomic energy. You must recharge your atoms so your cellular structure has sufficient energy to self-repair. When you breathe insufficient inner atomic energy, you lack life and vitality. You could and should breathe 1,100 cubic feet of air a day, yet the average individual breathes only 300 cubic feet.—Edna Lister, September 28, 1950.

From the time you begin to lift self, you breathe inspiration, the pure spiritual Breath of God. It descends through the crown, down the spine to the solar plexus. There it draws from the magnetic currents ascending from the feet, to create an explosion in the pneumogastric plexus, the secondary abdominal brain behind the stomach. So, as the etheric currents of Holy Breath descend, the magnetic currents of earth ascend through the feet and lower vitality centers.
he two currents meet at the solar plexus, explode and form the nucleus of atomic energy that we call the seeds of life. One seed ascends directly to the pituitary gland, where it ripens on the twenty-eighth day. It remains there twenty-eight days until another explosion releases a new seed, and expels the ripened seed to enter the pineal body to water the Garden of Eden, the brain. This vitalizes the personal soul records encoded on the neurons of the midbrain (the mesencephalon).—Edna Lister, October 2, 1950.

The breath of God is atomic energy, the energy of cosmic rays, the Light itself.—Edna Lister, Love in Action, June 17, 1951.

The atoms of your body are so constructed that they may breathe atomic energy on the fifth degree of breath, the pure Breath of God, which you breathe through the atoms of your hands, feet and skin of your whole body.
You can turn your imagination faculty down or up. You waste 90 percent of the physical energy you generate by using your imagination for foolish things. When you harness your imaginative faculty for good, you can accomplish anything.—Edna Lister, October 21, 1951.

You must resurrect yourself under the Degree of the Priest. Your body is subject to the laws of cosmic energy, so you must constantly refill it with radiant life sparks of Light. Life sparks cannot refuse your call. Breathe atomic energy! No one can tax it! Wise ones breathe deeply and fill their bodies to face every worldly challenge they meet, while 90 percent of the world is still resting itself to death.—Edna Lister, Prove Me Now, October 28, 1951.

Energy is the action principle that enables you to act on your decisions.—Edna Lister, Is Mind Important? June 15, 1952.

Review the past day’s work, lifting everything undone. Put anything incomplete on the altar at night. This gives you the energy, physical, emotional and mental, to keep going.—Edna Lister, December 18, 1952.

Atomic energy is the transforming power of the Holy Spirit stepped down in its rate of vibration to move through you safely.—Edna Lister, Prayer: The Soul’s Aspiration, June 7, 1953.

All atomic energy you breathe becomes constructive energy. God does not criticize the way you approach Him, but entices you to ascend on the red ray of Power, the blood of the Lamb. God entices you with every breath you take; He throws the master switch of Power to fill your bloodstream with the Holy Ghost.—Edna Lister, Look Up and Be Alive, October 11, 1953.

Your daily task is to take the full potential Power and translate it into kinetic energy for God, as His servant.—Edna Lister, November 1, 1954.

You must breathe atomic energy, which is a degree of God’s Light.—Edna Lister, August 4, 1955.

Selfish martyrdom depletes vitality, and worry uses negative energy.—Edna Lister, The Point of No Return, December 15, 1957.

As you raise your hands in prayer, you touch the Christ Light, which the scientific world calls atomic energy. The Source is the only place you can get Light for life. Lift your hands to open yourself and ascend to the Source; it is free, boundless. As you open yourself with enough soul fervor, atomic power fills every physical atom.
The soul who does not believe in God or is too lazy to bother, lets in only a dribble of vivifying Light. The one who prays or meditates with his hands in his lap is not collecting his share of Light. Limitless Light will do everything for you, if you let it.—Edna Lister, Come Ye Apart, April 20, 1958.

God’s universal Power is potential Power within the Source of All Light. It descends in streaming rays as individually whirling life sparks of Light-substance, to become all potential energy in the universes. The rays reform and condense still further in the rate of vibration to descend as the Father, Mother and Son, the Three-as-One.
Kinetic energy ultimately derives from the universal Christ principle, the white Light of the Christ. Thus, Light becomes Power, which becomes the kinetic energy released through you and your affairs.—Edna Lister, Transfiguration, Resurrection and Ascension, May 19, 1959.

The Logos, as the precursor to kinetic energy, animates all forms planned by Mind and filled with Substance. The Logos is Light, Power, energy and action. Light expresses as harmony. Power expresses as equilibrium. The action of energy must express as perfect balance. The Logos is the Christ principle, Holy Breath, Holy Spirit, and Holy Ghost. The Father-Mother works through the Son, which is a neutral vibration.
Wisdom expresses as Mind, the Logos expresses as Power and energy, and Love expresses as Substance under the Supreme Trinity, which is the Trinity you use to create. You extend your mind to contact divine Mind, cause Substance to flow into your creative prayer molds and release Power as energy.—Edna Lister, God as Personality and Principle, June 9, 1959.

The invisible River of Life is your spiritual fuel supply. If you think of self instead of God, you close the portal to the River of Life. When the River of Life fills you, you cannot be ill, lack for energy or anything else. When someone says, I wish I had it as easy as you, don’t be irritated. This is a sign that you look alive and that the River of Life is filling you.
You never lack energy when you are joyful.—Edna Lister, Desire Is Your Glory, June 14, 1959.

There is only the One Power. Lightning, electricity, and atomic energy are all degrees of the One Power exercised as energy.—Edna Lister, The 33 Degrees of Soul Conquering, October 27, 1959.

All absolute laws deal with government and control. They are God’s controlling, governing Power in action as fundamental principle. Absolute laws of being regulate all substance and power acting as energy for physical creation.
Among the original series of absolute laws are expansion and contraction, which contain the protective mechanism for regulating Power as potential energy, turning it on and off. As you must be able to turn heat on and off, which is protective, God must also regulate energy as the active phase of potential Power.—Edna Lister, How Can I Help Myself? May 31, 1960.

Energy oozes away when you overindulge or pamper the self with rest. Beyond a point, rest debilitates, because the vibration dies too low. You must learn to be an expert about the rest you need to recreate the body, to fill it with energy.
When you arise, reach for the stars so that you do not lose your contact with the Christ mind. Balance your outflow of energy with the inflow, holding them in balance at certain levels. Conquering consists of this coordination of all that you are, physically, emotionally, mentally, with spiritual contact.—Edna Lister, June 9, 1961.

Power is always there as potential, waiting to be turned on, yet it is your choice to consume energy at low, medium or high intensity levels.—Edna Lister, Man, God-High, November 5, 1961.

All forms of energy respond to Mind.—Edna Lister, November 14, 1967.

A Declaration for Increased Energy

When you say, Lift me. Fill me with Thy Power as energy. Use me. Fill me with the life of God, you are a creator in heaven and on earth. The life of God is the only vibration suitable for the moment you are to use it. God fills you with more than kinetic atomic energy, for He pours out the degree of original Power-as-energy you brought to earth.—Edna Lister, To Seek the Light, June 10, 1951.
